These were the smallest of the Tortillas we tested. I had a pleasant surprise initially that there were 12 in the pack - great for catering to a few more people or making a meal stretch for me. The packet was easy to open and then I stored the whole thing in an airtight container (which was quite easy as they were small). When I say small - they were still big enough for filling. I had to put a little bit less than I normally would in but that was a good thing. Overall the "extra two" fitted my filling requirements well and I admit we had three each for one dinner which felt really decadent.

The other way that the slightly smaller wraps (or tortillas) worked brilliantly for us was they fitted in pairs in the panini maker to toast! What a win. They were great toasted and I bought some more just to use as "toast points" as they were perfect we a few winter soups and with humous/dips when I cut them into smaller pieces. They toasted perfectly in the panini maker and I was really taken by this. That was probably the personal win that outweighed any issues I might have. The colour was strong and rich and they crisped beautifully.

Taste-wise I admit I am not the most discerning individual for wraps of any nature and I struggle to tell good from great and feel often the flavourings and extras are lost on me if the filling is good. For this reason, I won't have much to say about the flavour as all are good as far as I have found.

The consistency is a bigger issue for me and these were great. They didn't stick together, they didn't rip easily and they didn't snap or fall apart. A win all round for us.

Tacos are a firm family favourite and the first thing that I noticed was there were 12 small tortillas in this pack, perfect! Usually, the packs I buy have 10 which means the kids get 2 each and are often still hungry afterward. Although these are smaller than the usual tortillas I buy, with the fillings, I was hopeful these would keep the kid's hunger at bay.

The packet is attractive and you can see exactly what you are buying. There is a blurb on the back that tells you about Farrah's Mexican story and gives you some options on what you can make with the tortillas. We decided to use them with Farrah's Crispy Chicken and heated them in the microwave for 15 seconds. They came out soft and warm and looked yummy. One of my pet hates is having tortillas that crack and break when you roll them up to eat. I was extremely impressed that these tortillas did neither and managed to contain chicken, rice, lettuce, cheese, and sauce without breaking. The family agreed that these were fluffy, tasty, and very filling. Being smaller, they were easier to handle and, after three tortillas each, we were all full, including the kids.

My only gripe is that the bag is not resealable as these would be perfect for the kid's lunches. I think they would also make great bases for mini pizzas. As always, Farrah's have produced yet another quality product that will be another pantry staple.

I enjoy having a good taco, they're always full of flavour and using a small wrap means that it doesn't feel like I've eaten too much (even if I definitely have). Usually we just use standard size wraps and have one or two nice big tacos, but finding these, I was keen to try them and see how they suited the family. I did find, and the kids agreed, that we would have liked more tortillas in the pack, with two growing children who seem to make food disappear, they were both left wanting more. My youngest though, loved these, as they were the perfect size for them and their tiny hands and small stomach, so I would buy these again just for them to use, knowing that sealed they will last well.

What's great about these is that they stand up to the Farrah's brand. Even when packed to the brim by the ravenous thirteen year old, it still failed to crack and fall apart, which is what I love and puts this brand above the others. Taste wise, it didn't add or subtract anything from the final meal and the texture worked well with everything we put in it. We had two type of mains in these tortillas, one was rather wet and the other quite thick. Both ended up working well, there was some concern about how wet one of the fillings had ended up but as usual this had no effect on the overall structure. For feeding my older kids I wouldn't get these again but they were the perfect size for the youngest so I'm sure we will end up with some again.

These small wraps are a perfect size for eating on the run. Because they fit into your hand, there is no "overflow" from one end when you bite into the other. We gave people side plates rather than full sized dinner plates - that was useful as we had several friends crowded around a very small table and there was not a lot of room for extra things. I put all the filling ingredients on a big platter so everyone could stuff their own tortilla, and that worked a treat. There was plenty to go round as the tortillas did not need to be packed too tightly - their size dictated how much to put in.

We had chosen some seared chicken breast for the meat ingredient; it was flavoured with Farrah's spices, left over from a kit we had eaten the night before, but any good spice mixture would do. The tortillas themselves are plain so would adapt to any combination of flavours. Added to this were beetroot salad with crumbled feta, sliced tomatoes and red onions, diced cucumber, and iceberg lettuce. Next time it will undoubtedly be with a totally different mix of salads.

There are two ways of eating tacos. One is with a cold base filling (hardboiled eggs, cold cuts, sardines, etc) with salads in season and a little mayonnaise or dressing. Tacos made up that way are ideal for school lunches. At home I might add nuts (chopped walnuts or almonds) but nuts cannot be included for school purposes due to the number of allergies some children are prone to.

The other, traditional, way of serving tacos is with a hot protein based filling. The tortilla is heated too so that you theoretically end up with a hot meal. Up to now I have had limited success - the salad and dressing cool down the hot items to the extent that the end result is a cold result. Through experimentation, I have learned that it is possible to zap salad ingredients in the microwave for a few seconds. This takes the chill off so that the stuffed tortilla does not go cold so quickly. But it is important to monitor the time - the idea is to warm the salad slightly, not cook it! This is particularly useful with these small tacos because they go cold even faster than the larger ones. The other way to have them hotter is to use a sandwich press, but that also takes away that nice soft texture of a fresh tortilla.

Farrah's are undoubtedly the best brand of wraps available on the market, and hence the only brand in which my family eats. We have pretty much purchased every available variety to try and so were super excited when we saw the Mexican inspired range available on the market, even more so when we were chosen to review these particular Taco Tortillas, as taco's are a hit with us all, even with sometimes fussy Miss 3.

Like i've come to expect with the Farrah's range these Taco Tortilla's were soft and fresh, with the authentic Farrah's taste, they were only the size of a taco, perhaps a little bigger, making them the perfect size for little hands to manage. They were easy to fold and cut, no rips, no tears, and no ingredients falling out all over the place, which is a huge selling point for me!

I decided to try these the first time round for dinner. I fried up some mince and seasoned it with some herbs and spices (sadly I didn't have any of the taco spice mix on me) and then added a small amount of the mince mixture to the middle of 6 taco tortillas, which I then topped with some shredded lettuce, tomato, cheese and sour cream. These were absolutely delicious and the taste and flavour of the taco itself really added to the flavour, they got a HUGE thumbs up from my partner who loves tacos, but dislikes the crunchy shells so these were right up his alley, Miss 4 also happily ate hers and said it was yummy.

With the remaining taco's they came in super handy one morning in the weekend when I was preparing bacon and eggs and quickly realised that I had no bread left! So the wraps were then used to make breakfast tacos! I heated each individual wrap in the fry pan for a minute or so on each side and then filled them with scrambled egg, bacon, cheese and some yummy tomato relish. These went down really well, and were a nice lighter option than the usual toast we would have, I actually think I prefered the tacos? These went down a treat with the whole family once again with a side of hash browns.

All in all another 'no fail' product from Farrah's which I can see myself buying again, the only problem I have to face at the supermarket now when buying Farrah's products is "which one do I buy?" Keep up the great products Farrah's, I can't wait to see your next creations.

We were thrilled to get our hands on a packet of these taco wraps recently. I make Mexican food at least once a week. It's so quick and easy. For our first dinner of tacos at home, I cooked mince in the Farrah's taco spice and then pan fried the taco wraps to warm them. I added tomato and cos lettuce, mince, sauce, cheese and sour cream. The tacos were a huge hit, thought the biggest hit was the wraps themselves.

The kids felt that the tacos were light and airy even after the quick fry. They liked the way they pulled apart easily, but didn't tear when you didn't want them to. They found the smaller size easy to handle too. My husband thought the wraps were great and was impressed that they didn't split despite how much filling we stuffed them full with. Everyone requested tacos for dinner again.

So, we have already bought a set of the taco wraps to have for another dinner. My husband and I occasionally have tacos out for lunch on work days. I think the Farrah's wraps are on par or even better than the ones we have for lunch. I was able to eat my dinner cleanly at home, even though I had twice the filling I would have at lunch. That's the mark of a great wrap in my eyes.

I like that these are versatile too. You can add whatever you want to them. They aren't limited to dinner or lunch. you could add some scrambled eggs, bacon and grilled tomato for a breakfast taco for example. Because they aren't terribly savoury you could even make it a dessert taco with ice cream, and fruit and sauce. Either way, they are yummy!

Farrah's wraps are always at the top of my shopping list for an easy mid week meal that the whole family will enjoy and I think I will be adding the new Taco wraps to my shopping list as well. I teamed these with the nacho seasoning which although may seem like an unlikely choice it was perfect mixed through chicken and fresh greens.

I love that Farrah's wraps are always soft, fresh, delicious and authentic. The taco wraps are fabulous because you get so many in a packet and with a toddler in our household this was not a wrap that was going to swamp him and that he couldn't manage instead he happily ate it and I wasn't wasting any food. In saying that for the adults of the household they you definitely have to stock up on a few in order to feel full or create a side dish so that you don't devour the whole packet.

Overall I still think we'll still purchase the larger wraps more but I can definitely see how great they are for little ones or if you're having friends over and you want to give them something, quick, easy and tasty. Well done Farrah's for creating another great product.

Fussy-eater kids are a parent's worst nightmare sometimes, and my youngest can be REALLY fussy about what he eats. He'll eat it, or skip a meal, but he's not exactly gracious about having to fill his empty belly with food he's decided is not acceptable despite it being healthy and tasty. Mexican food is an automatic "NO!" because of his Dad's tales of spicy "chilli sauce showdowns" with friends working at foodcourt kiosks in his Uni days. So... even the mention of the word "Taco" has Little Mister No clamping his mouth shut and shaking his head vigorously.

I thought these little tortillas might be worth experimenting with, since the size is perfect for kids, and make more of a snack than a meal. Figuring that it's "basically a flatbread" I used it as such to make one of his favourite sandwiches - ham, cheese and peanut butter. His first reaction was "NO!" since he knows what a tortilla looks like and is used for, but once I explained it was "kinda like a sandwich..." and had nothing spicy inside it, he gave it a cautious nibble. Then a big bite. After that, he was happy to plough through three of them as his lunch.

That opened the door to other fillings, because now he grasped that the tortilla wasn't the unpleasant bit. Gradually, we explored other "liked" foods as fillings - bacon and egg, ham and cheese toasted, marmite and cheese... slowly building out wards to less preferred fillings such as tomato, cucumber, lettuce, grated carrot and even capsicum. The success was slow, but definite, and now he's nowhere near as fussy with his food options, whether wrapped in a wrap or not.

Overall, this became the very best "gateway" foodstuff for expanding my youngster's diet into healthier areas. I made one "taco" for myself using a more traditional mix of fillings and it turned out great, but the majority of the pack was used with the youngster and I consider it well-spent. I plan to buy these more often so I can do some soft-tacos for myself, which will be a blessing for my tender teeth!

We eat a lot of tortillas in our household at least once every 1-2weeks as it is an easy way to get my kids to eat salad ingredients without them realising. I was excited to try the Farrahs Taco Tortillas as I use a lot of the Farrahs wraps for lunches. The first thing I noticed was how soft and fresh they feel compared to some of the other brands we normally use that seem abit harder when you feel them.

However from there unfortunately it turned downhill for us, myself and the family including my two Primary School aged kids quickly noticed how small they were compared to others and once we started constructing them starting with the mince we made with the Farrahs Taco Spice mix, then the salad ingredients we quickly discovered that it doesn't hold much. The kids noticed this first and weren't very impressed that they didn't hold all the toppings they like to have heaped up on their tortillas and I agreed with them.

Unfortunately even though I did prefer the taste and texture of the tortilla the size just wasn't big enough, I will continue to buy Farrahs larger wraps as I really enjoy the, and their range of flavours. I would recommend these if you were wanting to make small wraps and at 12 tortillas a pack they are good valve for money.

I liked the look of these new wraps because I really wanted to get something that was smaller than the conventional wraps. I was always hungry after one wrap, but two wraps were too much, so a smaller variety seemed a great idea to have greater control over portion control without having to go hungry or overeat. But I was instantly surprised by one aspect of the packaging.

In their main line of wraps they advertise a certain aspect of their packaging; 'All Farrah's Wraps are packaged in high quality resealable bags which feature a tamperproof tear strip. This ensures freshness and quality to the very last wrap." Well I guess they changed their minds on this. So now I (the single male) have 12 wraps to try eat before they go off. Luckily for me I have some large "Magic Lock Sliding Bag Sealers" so I have been able to seal the bags without having to eat an entire packet of the product that I got in the hopes of controlling my portion sizes haha. So first things first, you have 12 in a pack, but aren't provided with any seals, so it's best to save these for an occasion when you could eat all 12 in one sitting, or ensure you have something capable of sealing the large wide packets.

The wrap itself is soft, and very easy to bend without it cracking or splitting, but as is common with the brand, the wraps are slightly thick, so to seal it you either need to squeeze two pieces together to join them together, or place the wrap upside down, otherwise it will start to unwrap itself while you prepare other ones (though this may depend on your wrapping method).

I wanted a simple meal, so I pan fried some chicken and combined with some four bean mix and a generous portion of the Farrah's Mexican 'Nacho Spice Mix'. It was an easy meal to prepare, but it important to ensure you use small ingredients with these smaller wraps. Larger chunks will prove difficult to get into the wrap, as the reduced size has a larger effect on the volume you can fit inside. Mince would definitely be the best choice of meat for these small wraps to maximise the small space available.

I have placed two small wraps next to a normal sized Farrah's wrap, just to demonstrate the size difference. Overall I was disappointed by the lack of the packaging seal, but I am happy with the product, and at less than 50c each, I will most likely be using them in the future over the full sized.
