Quickleen-S is a quick, safe & cost-effective multi-purpose cleaner that out-performs the strongest, harshest chemical cleaners. It is non-toxic, non-caustic, 100% biodegradable and is both user and earth friendly.
The product is used extensively in the hospitality industry for commercial kitchen, front of house cleaning and all purpose housekeeping. It is particularly effective for stainless steel, grease build up, burn marks and other difficult to clean areas, as well as tiles, grout and other surfaces throughout commercial businesses, including bathrooms. It can even be used to remove stains from coffee cups, rust & watermarks from cutlery and knife marks from crockery.
Quickleen-S is easy to use with a simple wipe-on, wipe-off application. It is HACCP compliant and is a cleaner, degreaser, sanitiser and polisher all rolled into one. As it cleans, Quickleen-S leaves a streak-free protective coating, resulting in a brilliant finish and easier cleaning next time around.
Product reviews...
I was lucky enough to get some Quickleen to try out and I was keen to tackle a few tough jobs around the house. The first thing I loved about this cleaner was that it can clean pretty much anything. I didn't have to worry about whether it could do this surface, but ruin the next surface - I just cleaned everything!
I also loved that it is non toxic and non caustic. And it really was - no horrible smells, no headaches and no skin reactions which can happen with my sensitive skin. I've never felt so clear headed after cleaning the oven! For my big-ask task, I decided to tackle the oven racks - I'm pretty sure these have never been cleaned and they had a thin layer of baked on grime covering them! First I tried wiping them over with a damp cloth and the grime stayed put. Then I added small sprinklings of powder (and I mean really small sprinklings as this stuff goes a long way!) and with very little effort I was surprised to see the racks come up sparkling new - hopefully the photo shows clearly the half I've cleaned and the half I haven't cleaned. As I got towards the middle, the grime got a bit tougher but I really honestly didn't expect them to come as clean as they did. I didn't realise they could sparkle!
The only slight negative is that the powder tended to stick in the holes, but every now and then I just banged the bottom of the container against the bench and it cleared the holes. It was great that I didn't accidentally pour too much out though, so I'm not really complaining.
This stuff is expensive... but it will go a long way so compares very favourably to other cleaners as long as you are prepared for the initial outlay. And it really does work - yes I was sceptical, but it's now my new favourite cleaning product!
It has been a week since I first tried Quicklean-S and I have been pondering how to write this review without it sounding like a cheesey infomercial because it really is a fabulous product. The first thing I did when I was handed the shaker to review was read the label. I wasn't reading for what it could do but rather the warnings of what it shouldn't be used on. I was surprised to see no warnings just a long list of recommended uses. Finally a cleaner I can use on metals, glass, plastic basically any hard surface (although wood isn't mentioned).
The first thing I attempted to clean with the Quicklean-S was my oven. I am getting a new kitchen and with it a new oven shortly so keeping it looking like new is not a priority. Other than a wipe over with a dish cloth each night it had been neglected. Some areas like the top of the door were brown from grease and looked disgusting. The worst parts came clean very quickly simply by using the powder on a damp cloth. Some areas needed a scouring pad but I found the brown marks were left in the deeper scratches.
I have been putting off cleaning out the microwave hoping that my husband would do it but after less than 5 minutes with the powder and a damp cloth it was like new. I don't need to be embarrassed about it any more. Every time I open the microwave now I smile rather than cringe.
I also found that it was a fabulous nail polish remover. I had some glitter polish that my regular polish remover just would not remove so I had painted over it in another colour. When I was cleaning the kitchen I discovered that my nail polish was just peeling off. Thankfully I had planned on removing my polish once I had finished my chores but if you want to save your beautiful nails it would pay to wear gloves.
When I found out the price I thought it was a expensive but a little bit does go a long way. It also replaces the need for lots of different cleaners as it is so versatile. The shaker is designed so that only a small amount comes out at a time so there is no waste. I will definitely be making this my first choice in cleaning products both for the everyday jobs and the tough ones that I've been putting off forever.
I have to start off by saying that this stuff is fantastic! I was originally going to give my oven and a few of my oven dishes a good clean before we moved out but the review product didn't quite arrive in time and the new house we moved into already had a clean oven (who on earth has a clean oven!). So, while trying to rack my brain as to what to clean to be able to review Quickleen-S I happened to see some rust marks on the bench which apparently had always been there and no one had been able to remove them yet so I decided that this would be the perfect thing to test this out on!
I followed the directions on the packet and applied a sprinkle to marks on the bench and rubbed it in with a damp cloth. With just a few wipes I could see the Quickleen-S start to work and the first ring had almost disappeared. I applied more powder to the next ring and kept on rubbing and within 5 minutes all rings had gone and you wouldn't even be able to guess where they were.
After my hubby got home we decided that we should give it a go on the BBQ plate. In the 6 years that we've owned this BBQ we haven't once given the plate a proper clean, we usually just wipe off the excess food and call it good. This plate required quite a bit more powder and elbow grease but it still did a great job and the results are really amazing.
The only thing I would really like changed on this product is the lid. It has a sort of sprinkle type top with holes in it which I think is designed to make sure you don't pour too much out at one time but with cleaning the BBQ I found that it clumped up quite a bit and it was hard to get anything out so personally I would have preferred a pour type lid, I think that would be much easier to use and still help make sure people only used a small amount at a time.
I'm not going to say that I really enjoyed using this product because to be honest I really don't enjoy cleaning but if I have to clean then this is the product that I'd want to use. Being able to get the results that I hoped for without too much effort is great and the fact that it is non toxic and can be used in a multitude of places is a huge bonus. It is a little pricey but I'd say it's definitely worth the money and if you've tried everything else and nothing worked then definitely give Quickleen-S a go and be amazed!
When I saw this come up for review I was so curious seeing that it was used for commercial kitchen cleaning and that it was non caustic I was intrigued to see what it could do around my house. I have a love hate relationship with cleaning I love to have a clean house but I hate using cleaning products that dry and burn my skin or cause me a headache with their toxic fumes so I have a few select products that I use that have passed the test in terms of my bodily reactions.
I read the instructions on the bottle and was amazed that it said it could clean ovens. This is my most hated job as the caustic oven cleaning formula's give me the worst headaches so if this stuff could clean my oven I was going to be impressed. I had my doubt my oven hadn't been cleaned in a long while as I had been puttin it off and there was a lot of stuck and burnt on grease and food. I applied the powder with a wet cloth as directed and then scrubbed with a scouring pad.
The result was amazing it did take a bit of elbow grease in places where the burnt on spots had blackened but with a bit of hard scrubbing these too did come off leaving a pretty clean over. There were some spots that didn't come off altogether but all in all I was very impressed with how well this cleaned my oven. The best thing about it was once I rinsed the oven clean to remove and powder residue I could also use the oven shortly after without it smelling of chemicals and tainting the food like caustic oven cleaners seem too.
And better yet I did not have a headache from the fumes I will definitely be using this to clean the oven next time. The next thing I cleaned was my bath again I wasn't really sure what to expect I have religiously used Jif to clean the bath for many years as it has been the one thing that has been able to stand up to the soap scum build up. Well this literally blew me away it cut through that soap scum like magic. I simply wiped the powder on with a wet cloth and it took the marks away without any scrubbing whatsoever.
Even with Jif I have to get the scrubbing brush out but with this I didn't need to at all. then all I needed to do was rinse the bath off and it was so clean it shined. I have since cleaned the rest of my bathroom and the microwave and am always eyeing up new things that I can try it out on. I did see you can use it to clean glass so tried it out on the toothpaste splatters on my bathroom mirror which washed off without leaving my mirror streaky or cloudy.
I am so impressed that one cleaner can do so much and do such a good job of it at the same time, definitely worth the slightly more expensive price as I am sure the shaker will last quite a long time. The one down side that I found was that the shaker was quite hard to use as at times the powder was not making it through the holes so I had to squeeze the container to un clog the holes but this is the only thing I disliked.
After a rather botched attempt to make pinwheel scrolls - where I forgot to lay in some tinfoil to line the drip tray of my benchtop oven - I ended up with a very unpleasant job. Despite much scrubbing with the green scrubbers (I destroyed two of them to no noticeable effect on the tray) I turned to the Quickleen-S.
The instructions call for a damp cloth, a little powder, and a lot of scrubbing. -urg- Sounds too much like hard work for me... so I popped the lid, sprinkled a generous amount on the tray, and started scrubbing. BIG MISTAKE! It turned into a very opaque layer that, while undoubtedly effective, stopped me from seeing what I was doing. OK, you win, back to following the instructions. Rinse, and start again using far less.
This was indeed the right approach, as I was able to see exactly what I was doing, and where. While it didn't budge the really deeply burnt-on stuff (the black bits in the photo) it did a great job of removing the burnt grease and oil that nothing else non-toxic I had would budge. I have also used this on the BBQ to clean the grill - a piece of kit that nothing else will clean with any great effect. It's done an utterly brilliant job and I can not praise it too highly!
Overall, while it sounds expensive, it's not. You use such a small amount at a time, you'll soon see that it is cheaper than using all the other, more caustic and toxic cleaning products out there. While there are other products as effective, I wouldn't feel comfortable using the dishes/pots/whatever for food preparation afterwards, and all of the food-safe products I have tried can't match the sheer cleaning power of Quickleen-S. It is available in smaller containers, and I suggest trying one of them if you are unsure. Once you have used it, you'll know why the bigger packs are worth getting. My only small critique is that the stuff does tend to clump a little and clog the shaker ports. I just took the lid off and put some in an old jam jar lid when I used it.
Check the image to see the results. They speak for themselves really. I did baulk a little at the price at first but then I realised just how far this item goes. It is like buying razors they are a bit hard on the pocket at first but end up being a dollar a week investment - nothing really in the long run. Because of the longevity of this product in and around the house you will be most likely just using this. Forget the jif for the bathroom, the windex for the windows, the ajax for the oven hob or the bleach for the bathroom. you can just use this one product.
I found it to be extremely low mess and easy to use. I have had a bbq for a couple of years but never cleaned it. In the past I have had to use foaming cleaners that you hose off which is messy. With Quickleen-S I only needed two rags. One damp one to apply the product and once worked in, a clean one to wipe off. It works just like polishing your car.
This product is also non toxic, uses no harsh phosphorus, is biodegradable and very easy to use. I will be recommending this to family also and letting them see how great this product is.
