Since I had brought the Tommee Tippee Closer to nature bottles, I decided that it was probably a good idea when choosing a steriliser to get one of the same brand so I ended up going with the Closer to Nature Microwave Steriliser, which I choose over the electronic one as not only was it a lot cheaper but it seemed just as easy and convenient to use.
This is a fantastic steriliser, which is honestly so easy to use, all you have to do is pop some water into the bottom of the steriliser up to the mark on the side of it, add your bottles, teats and dummies, pop on the lid and pop it in the microwave for 6 minutes with or with out sterilising tablets and your done. The steriliser can comfortably fit in 6 bottles at any one time, but I find that if you're sterilising teats and lids as well, you can only comfortably fit 2-3 bottles in. It does fit all kinds of bottles though so that makes it very handy, as I do have a few random bits and pieces which I used from time to time. What I also found handy was the fact that the lid can also double as a sterile work surface because it becomes sterilised in the process. This makes it very handy for putting lids and teats on it while you prepare the bottles.
When I purchased my steriliser it came with a couple of bottles, a pair of tongs (for lifting hot equipment out of the steriliser) and also a bottle cleaning brush which is made to be the perfect size for Tommee Tippee bottles. The lid is always nice and secure, as it clips on with latches so you don't have to worry about this affecting the sterilisation.
I have used the closer to nature microwave steriliser combined with closer to nature bottles. It is designed to cater for four closer to nature bottles but you can also fit in a few extra items such as spoons, medicine syringes, and dummies.
I have found it a very easy to use steriliser and a very quick method of getting babies bottles sterile and ready to use. It only takes four minutes to have sterile bottles and is easy as you just put the bottles in and then put it in the microwave and wait.
The one thing that I have found not so good on my one is that the clip that holds the steriliser shut comes off from time to time but easily slots back into place.
The steriliser comes with a starter pack which includes a bottle brush that is specifically designed to clean the closer to nature bottles so I thought this was good as the teets are a very unique shape compared to other bottles.
Quick and easy sterilising kit.
Does get very hot though, so if you're in a hurry for a bottle it takes a while to cool down.
Also says it fits 6 bottles at a time but only really fits 5 as you have to force number 6 in.
Great to use with cold water and sterilising tablets if you're not in a hurry for a bottle.
