Product reviews...
The dream baby deluxe bath seat was possibly one of the best purchases my granddaughters mum ever made! Not only are they easy to use, durable, great functionality, and a really really impressive price, but they could also be considered a life saver! In more than one way. When you are a busy mum with so much that needs doing, especially if you have other children to tend too, and not enough hands to do it, this little seat can be a saviour.
One can set baby up in the shower, handy if you do not have a bath, and still tend to doing other chores, such as actually cleaning the bathroom. It has suction cups to suction it to the floor to so baby will not topple or be able to move about. You can even set baby up in the dream baby seat while you have a shower, something a lot of new mums often struggle to find the time to do.
This is what my granddaughters mum would do, she would set the seat up in the corner of the shower where bubby was able to play in the water without it going over her head, and she would shower. One day though, she did this, and then midway through the shower mum fainted. She smacked her head on the way down. Bubbys dad was due to pick her up and when he arrived bubby was still safe in her seat and he was able to sort the situation. Things could have been much worse and scary if it was not for that awesome little seat to keep the baby safe.
I seriously give the baby dream set 2 thumbs up. One of the best inventions ever made! so impressed, and just as thankful it exists.
When my daughter was first born we had no trouble bathing her as we had a change table that had a baby bath attached to it when you folded back the change mat, but as she got bigger she quickly grew to big to fit in this any longer. My next issue was how I was going to bathe Little Miss from here on as having a big corner bath was going to be a bit difficult. After searching around for some ideas I came across the deluxe bath seat which looked perfect since she was big enough to sit upright by herself. After finally tracking one down at Baby City we were sorted and the price I found was actually pretty good, especially as it was going to last quite some time.
This is such a great little seat, and a great way of reassurance and piece of mind that your baby is safe while in the bath (although obviously they should still always be supervised while in the bath). The seat has suction cups attached to the base of it, these are really strong and I never had a problem with the seat sliding around. The seat where baby sits is a good size and my daughter was happy to sit in here from approximately 6 months to 2 years, after this time she didn't want to have a bar of it as it was just much to fun being able to 'swim' and move about at bath time she discovered!
To use this awesome little bath seat you simply pop your child in and then pull the t bar down and click it into place at the front of the seat. With your child contained and as safe as can be you are now able to wash them with 2 hands rather than 1, to wash the lower body you simply lift the t bar back up, a bit more work but at least your child still is more supported than if you had no chair available, and at least you know they are not going to go backwards this way. The best part about this chair for me was the ease of hair washing as Little Miss absolutely HATES this, without the chair this is now a weekly struggle which we now face.
There is a slight tray on the chair which I found great for sitting a few toys on while bathing Little Miss to keep her entertained, what was even better was that I had several suction cup toys which fitted perfectly onto here, that meant the toys didn't keep disappearing into the water. This is certainly worth considering buying if you have a baby who is over confident in the water or a wriggler who doesn't like bath time, not only great for the child but also for your piece of mind.
I first discovered this seat when I took my eldest (then 8 mths) to a friends place for dinner, and popped the kids in the bath together - and she was put into this. I had never seen one before, and never even imagined such a thing existed! After using it that first time, I had to go and purchase one, and I do not regret it. Three children on, and still going strong - this little seat is great!
It is always a bit of a worry bathing a little one - and even more so when they are mobile, or there is an older sibling in with them. This seat was AMAZING and such a nifty invention. It gives me more peace of mind, knowing that our wee man (3rd child) is slightly more contained in the bath.
The seat itself comes apart for cleaning - though I do not bother doing this very often, and instead give it a good wash and scrub when cleaning the bath each week. It suctions to the bath/shower floor with good strength, and stays put. You then click the t bar into place and your wee one is nicely contained. This makes washing them and their hair much easier. To wash their bottom, it is best to take them out.
My older two children also like that their little brother is not splashing them, trying to grab all the toys/cloths/them - meaning a much less stressful time.
Highly recommend the bath seat, and only wish I had discovered it sooner for our eldest!
This seat has been such a life saver for me and my son. He doesn't know how to sit still and even when he slips over when trying to stand up in the bath he doesn't seem to learn not to stand up!
The Dream Baby seat has made bath time so much easier, the seat suctions to the bath floor and stays put so I can just pop him in and close the bar up to keep him contained. That way I can wash his hair and his body with both hands free rather than trying to do it one handedly while trying to keep him held upright.
To be able to wash the bottom half of baby you have to open the bar back up as it is too hard to get down the front to wash down there, which is a bit of a pain but still easier than the option of not having a chair.
I have also found it great for showering Cai, as I can put him in the seat and shower him which makes it so much easier than trying to hold him under the water when he is all slippery. The seat keeps him upright and he can't wriggle free so it means he just sits there and plays nicely with his toys while I wash him.
