Robert Louis Stevenson's classic pirate tale takes on a life of its own in the hands of the hilarious Muppets!
Muppet Treasure Island is the fun-packed, music-filled, high-seas swashbuckler the entire family will enjoy over and over.
It all begins when young Jim Hawkins inherits a long-lost map to pirate's treasure. Jim hires the great ship Hispaniola where he meets good Captain Smollett (Kermit the Frog) and the evil yet charming Long John Silver (Tim Curry). With adventure in their hearts and treasure chests of gold in their eyes, they set sail on the bounding main only to discover danger at every turn - including Benjamina Gunn (Miss Piggy), Treasure Island's worshiped love goddess, who's dressed to kill!
Featuring a rollicking musical score by Academy Award ®-winning* Hans Zimmer (The Lion King), Muppet Treasure Island is a real gem.

This was my second Muppets movie and it is still one of my favourite.
Basing this upon the original Treasure Island we have Young Jim Hawkings trying to find the treasure, with Tim Curry (I love Tim Curry, he's so awesome) as Long John Silver, Kermit the captain and Miss Piggy as Benjamina Gunn with all the Muppets you know and love, this is a great addition to The Muppets franchise and not to be missed. The acting is well done and the story is a great one, and what a good way to introduce a classic book to your kids?
The jokes are all there, from bad jokes from Fozzie to the more subtle, and I love that they involve the audience, though it's always the muppets and never the humans, which adds to the fun of it all. There are some fun song numbers, likes "We've Got Denghi Fever" and then there's the fun of the rats using it as a holiday ride and so they keep on popping up in all sorts of places, adding a laugh or two, and great fun just trying to spot them.
This is a really fun movie and I still enjoy it today as do my kids.
