Removes marks and scuffs from most hard surfaces including walls, skirting boards, door handles, switch plates, keyboards, telephones, remote controls, kids' toys, tea & coffee mugs. also use it to remove sticky residue from some labels.
What is CHUX Magic Eraser actually made up of?
The CHUX Magic Eraser is a melamine foam which has superfine eraser-like fibres that easily lift and trap dirt.
Does the CHUX Magic Eraser contain any chemical cleaner?
The CHUX Magic Eraser is chemical and detergent free and actually performs a 'mechanical' clean.
What surfaces can I use the CHUX Magic Eraser on?
It can be used on most hard surfaces, however it is always recommended that you test in an inconspicuous spot on each surface first. It should not be used on automotive paintwork, polyurethane surfaces, non-stick cookware or surfaces that are delicate or highly polished/glossy or have a brush, satin, dark or faux finish as trapped dirt may scratch.
How long does the CHUX Magic Eraser last?
It depends on the marks or jobs it is being used on. The block wears down as it is used up.
Product reviews...
Having an active toddler in the house often means grubby hand and fingerprints on the walls, usually a quick wipe with a damp cloth does the trick however sometimes you don't discover these marks on the walls until several days later which makes them a bit more stubborn when it comes to trying to wipe the walls clean. Last Christmas my daughter received some wooden dolls furniture which is painted pink, and I unfortunately turns out that these items leave some lovely pink marks on the walls when they rub up against them which with lots of attempts of rubbing and applications of various different products just do not come off! I set about on the KIWIreviews website to see if there was some sort of miracle product that I had not thought of trying which is where I was lucky enough to stumble across these CHUX magic erasers.
I set off to the supermarket and searched high and low for these, they certainly weren't very easy to spot on the shelf but after nearly 5 minutes I managed to find them. I got home and read the instructions which are easy to read and follow. Each pack contains 8 erasers which you just pull apart from one another as needed. You dampen the eraser slightly with water and then rub it gently around in a circle on your chosen mark. I first removed some greasy finger marks and sticky stains and these seemed to come off easily without needing to apply to much pressure, I was very pleased with the result they gave and was interested in seeing if they did the same with the pink marks that were over the walls. The pink marks were certainly a lot more stubborn to remove and required quite a lot of rubbing and more pressing against the wall, I must admit I had a bit of a freak out moment as I tried removing these marks as it looked like the paint was running, but I can safely say it ended up that this was not the case and that it was just colouring from the eraser and that the pink marks disappeared perfectly.
Such a fantastic product that I would have never of thought of trying, we have a few more of the erasers left and will be buying more without a doubt once they are gone!
After Mister Two decided to practise his Art skills on the wall and I had tried almost everything I could think of a friend recommended I try these, so off I went to purchase them, after hunting and asking for them at three different Supermarkets I finally found some at The Warehouse and was pleased at the price, $3.79, I did expect them to cost more than that.
The instructions are simple to follow and the cubes easy to separate and use. All you need to do is dampen with water and use on your chosen area. They worked fantastic on the paint but I do not recommend use on Wallpaper! My partner works in a Metal Foundry and brings home a lot of "Black Sand" in his clothing and on his skin so I was forever scrubbing light switches and door handles, not anymore! A quick wipe down with the Chux Magic Erasers and they come up as new!
The bathroom is a specially great place to use the Erasers. When we moved in there was a ring around the bath which I had tried to remove with many different products, the Chux Erasers took care of it fast and effortlessly.
These are now always in my cupboards and I always suggest them to friends, I do have to say though do as instructed and do a small test on the area first! Happy Cleaning!!
This product is a must have in my cleaning arsenal. I have lived in some pretty gross rentals and this product has been an absolute godsend when it comes to cleaning up the place and getting the job done to my satisfaction.
I use them on every surface in the house. I find that they're particularly great at cutting through grease on walls, removing scuff marks and grotty fingerprints as well as cleaning kid's toys, appliances and even light switches. They also make removing labels from jars a breeze and they're so easy to use - all you need is a little bit of water and you're good to go.
They come in a block of 8 and for light cleaning they can last a while. I have a tendency to go through them quite quickly as I mainly use them on large surfaces (walls, floors, doors and any particularly grotty areas). I love that they're chemical free and therefore a great choice for my family as well.
They're a fantastic product that will save you time and effort when it comes to some of those tricky and time consuming cleaning jobs. If other products just aren't cutting it then I reach straight for my Magic Eraser - works every time.
Had we not have received a free pack of these to trial in an art order placed at my work I would have never have bought them! Even upon receiving them at work I was totally sceptical - they claim to remove pen from walls, scuff marks from walls etc all without chemicals - yea right was my thoughts. That was until I tried them and oh my goodness they truly do work, it was amazing!!
One of the children had drawn all over the white cupboards/doors/drawers in black felt tip pen (I can't remember if this was just a normal felt tip or a vivid pen sorry) and the magic eraser took it straight off! It was great I didn't have to apply that much pressure either, was a really easy fix that we were all happy with!
You definately have to follow the instructions on the packet as to how wet/damp you keep this product as if you let it dry up to much or make it too wet it breaks up really easily. Apart from that an easy to use product that I definately recommend to others!
I am in the midst of moving and a friend of mine recommended these are a great, easy way to clean my bathroom, kitchen and walls. Now I am a true sceptic, but hey anything to make my life easier is great by me, so I bought them. First I really had to hunt for them as none of my supermarkets had them, finally I tracked them down to one in another area. I can honestly say I AM A CONVERT!!!!!
You get a packet with 8 blocks, they are very easy to separate. The instructions are easy to follow, wet, squeeze and clean. Believe me it is that easy. I find it hard to do heavy cleaning because of my hands, but to say this little square make light work of it is an understatement. It cleaned all that horrible built up grime, you get under the element plates, so easily. It even with a bit more pressure cleaned the stuff I usually use a brillo pad on. I was so impressed, I called my son in and showed him, he two was very impressed. The other thing I loved about this product was, you don't use it once and chuck it, you put it under water, clean it and its ready to go again time after time.
This will be something I will be putting into my shopping basket to make sure I always have enough around as I don't want to go without again.
I first saw an advertisement on the television for Chux Magic Easer saying they would remove sticky residue from labels and I am a big fan of preserving jams, fruits etc and like my recycled jars to be label free so I can apply a new label and since some labels are hard to remove I thought I would try this product...it worked with some labels but not with others so I was disappointed on that level and like the instructions say it only works on some labels!
Anyways onto better things I was amazed that these little cubes of magic work wonders on scuff marks on my lino floor left by shoe marks and along the skirting boards where I have moved furniture and knocked the legs or corners onto the skirting and the wipes from removed the marks just like magic and without hard scrubbing which is great!
I love that the wipes are chemical free and only use water to activate the eraser to remove the marks. However you must apply enough water so the cloth doesn't fall apart and work correctly, if the eraser isn't wet enough it doesn't remove the mark and the fricken makes it fall apart quicker...so make sure you read the instructions so you are clear on how to use them properly.
I was also surprised when I used them on my coffee/tea cups....not that I am a hot drink person but members of my family and friends that visit are and I hate the brownish stain they leave in the cups, and when I used the magic eraser the marks disappeared straight away and I swear that the cups were left whiter than the day I bought them brand new! I like the way I don't even need to rub hard either, I get great results with minimal effort.
With 8 magic erasing cubes in each pack they are good value in my opinion in regards to using them correctly so they last longer and don't fall apart from misuse. I have recommended these little beauties to friends and family and I have purchased a few packs now and will continue to using them.
Well one day my kids got hold of felt tips and in our new rental house they decided to draw race lines around the master bedroom WHITE walls, nice green and red lines. Well got given some of these chux magic eraser and told to try those.
I looked at them and thought no way will these work with just water, that's too simple, now this pen I couldn't get off with any other chemical. I wet the eraser and took to the wall, what do you know with a good rub and scrub it came off, the pen was really coming off, did the whole room and you couldn't even tell that they kids had drawn all over the walls with bright red and green felt tip pens.
I now keep some of these in the draws for when i need them for the walls or anything else that is stubborn and i cant get off with anything else. I recommend these to anyone with young kiddies. The price you cant sneeze about, yup i had to use a whole pack to clean a whole huge bedroom but it was worth it in the end.
I was a bit sceptical trying these as they claim to remove pen from walls, and soap scuff marks from walls and tea stains from coffee mugs all without chemicals but at the price they are I thought I might as well give them a try and I was really impressed they actually do work!!
I went through a few sponges as I did all my white coffee mugs and the cups which I normally soak in bleach to get the stains out came up like new with just a light rub over with the sponge. I also removed a pen mark on the wall it was ball point pen and it had been there for a while but it came off with a little rub. It did leave a little white mark on the wall but I wiped this over with a damp cloth and it came off too and you wouldnt be able to tell there was a mark there.
The thing that impressed me the most was the scuff marks on the skirting boards, we have heaps where highchairs and baby baths and all sorts have knocked up against the wall and they are no more since using this little sponge.
The one thing I noticed is that it is best to keep it a little bit damp as if you use it when it is dry it breaks up. I tried doing my floor with the one cloth spot cleaning the lino in places where there was tough dirt and forget to re wet it and it fell apart a bit, but the floor looked amazing afterwards and the black scuff marks from shoes were all gone.
