Product reviews...
Only good - what can I say it's good! With a house full a boys the only time I get some alone time and anything remotely girly is in the shower so I jumped at the chance to review a body wash just for me! But after telling my partner how nice it was it seems that everyone has been having a go.
What I love about this product is if the boys really have to use mum's body wash they don't break out in a rash as they are prone to eczema. I love that it's 100% natural with no nasty surprises added in and another great feature of this body wash is the pump bottle so you don't have to hold it while trying to get out the body wash and then having to deal with closing it again while losing the body wash all over the shower. The pump gives off the perfect amount of product that lathers beautifully and really less is more and it still leaves you feeling moisturised and clean out of the shower.
Now let's talk about the smell, oh my heck it's so good! it reminds me of orange and mango raro not in a bad way but I can't get enough! it definitely makes you feel fresh and clean. I have definitely been converted to only good and I am definitely packing some into my baby bag to make those horrible hospital showers feel a bit more special.I look forward to trying out more from the only good range in the future.
Having eczema means I have very sensitive skin and I have to be really careful about what I use. I always go for soap free body washes and the more natural the better. When Only Good body wash came up for review I was very keen to give it a try. Anything that is 100% natural with no nasty surprises is all good in my book. When the bottle arrived I opened it up straight away and was hit with the most delightful smell usually natural stuff has little to no scent. I love the fact it's a nice fruity smell rather than an overpowering flowery smell you usually get with body washes. Once it was open I just couldn't wait to try it out, so I had to go and enjoy a nice hot shower after a long day at work.
Pumping it on to my cloth it didn't seem to give me much in one pump but I decided to go with it and just try the one to see how well it lathered up. I was pleased to see it lathered up well and while one pump wasn't quite enough two was plenty. With only needing a small amount the bottle is going to last for a decent amount of time. Afterwards my skin was left feeling super soft and not dry and horrid like it does after other body washes sometimes do. Only good has been added to my shopping list and has quickly become a must have in our household.
Acai Berry and pomegranate certainly lives up to it's Only Good name of Delight. It is a delightful scent and one that I would happily use in the shower. Too many scents and soaps on the market have a generic flowery smell to them, so this was a nice surprise to open.
With just the right amount of soapiness to lather the entire body, 2 pumps is more than enough each time. That makes the 445ml bottle very affordable at only $8.99 (less on special). Not only is it affordable, but the paraben and palm oil free is family friendly so it is one for myself, my husband and Miss 4 to use so no more need for 3 different bottles for us all, and taking up more room than is available in the shower. Although the bottle is more feminine looking, being non-perfume smelling I managed to convince husband to try it (with great success!)
Having combination skin, I felt it wasn't greasy on oily parts and didn't dry out the driest areas. I felt that this was a body wash that I could really enjoy and use as my weekly mummy retreat where I get to indulge (yet still ok for every day washing). I would have no problem buying this for myself or my family, or even as a gift for a new mum who needs a bit of pampering.
As a mum, the only time I am really alone is in the shower. That's as long as my husband doesn't try to get a child to shower with me, of course. Because it's really the only place I get privacy, I like to have a good shower gel that helps me feel refreshed or relaxed depending on how my day might go.
I was really happy to get a bottle of this Delight Natural shower gel from Only Good in my latest review goodies, because I had been using my shampoo to wash with for a few days. I just hadn't got to the supermarket. This shower gel is like nothing else I have had before. The look of the bottle is really upmarket sitting next to my kids' shampoos and things. It's definitely the adult in the shower cabinet.
The pump gives a small amount every time, and it lathers well. This means that you aren't going to burn through it like other gels when it's up to you to stop pouring. It's already lasted way longer than my other gels. I haven't felt like I didn't get enough soap either. It's just a good level 'serve' per pump.
My kids have also had a go at this gel over the last week or so. They both like it, but again that pump is saving me from having to replace it quickly. Last time they really liked a gel of mine, it was gone within 48 hours. The smell of this gel is nice and fruity, from the pomegranate and the acai berries. It also has a herbal scent to it as well. It is nice and refreshing and I will definitely be looking to buy it again when it runs out.
Love body wash, I certainly can't go back to normal soap anymore. It's just so easy and convenient to use. So when I saw that there was a new body wash that I hadn't tried or heard of before I just had to request some to review. It was a bonus that it was made from all natural ingredients and that made me feel comfortable using it on my skin, I have reacted to some other body washes before so I'm always careful about what I buy now.
The first thing I noticed about Only Good's Delight Natural Body Wash was that the bottle was quite stylish and was different to any other body wash bottle I'd seen, plus purple is my favourite colour so it definitely had that going for it. The only thing better than the actual bottle was the beautiful smell coming from it, it seriously smells divine. I'm not entirely sure what Acai Berry or Pomegranate smells like but if they are anything like the smell coming from this bottle I'm going to have to look into it more. I couldn't smell a huge amount of Vitamin C but then again when I think of Vitamin C I think of an orange smell and I'm not entirely sure that's what the actual Vitamin smells like. Either way the smell was great and I will definitely have to keep an eye out for this product in the supermarket.
The only downside to this product is the pump amount. I use a loofah in the shower and like quite a decent amount of body wash on the loofah to get a really soapy lather up but I found I had to pump the bottle about 3-4 times to really get the amount I wanted. I think if the pump dispersed a bit more liquid it would be the perfect product but even just how it is I'll still be a regular buyer.
My first thought when trying the body wash was of the clear gel, I'm used to a cream textured body wash, so that was different. I liked how it lathered up nicely and I extremely liked the smell of the body wash. It was delightful and the aromas made me smile which is always a good way to start your day. I mainly use body wash for shaving as I find it easier, and I use soap for washing but when trying Only Good - Delight Natural Body Wash I rather liked it. I loved the easy to use pump and also the amount that came out from one squirt.
I really love that the body wash is 100% natural and no nasty additives are in the product. It's great to know the products you use for your body are safe and good for it. The size of the bottle is ideal and you would get a lot of uses from it. I mistakenly left the bottle on the bath edge where I caught my son sitting in the bottom of the shower using more than he should have to wash himself. He said it smells so good though mum I just wanted to keep using it. It is great to know that a product that makes a 7 year old, want to keep cleaning themselves is available, as it times it can be an endless battle at showering time and making sure your child is washing them properly.
Would I buy this body wash again? I think I would, I love that it's great for the family to use and being 100% natural is a great seller in its own. This body wash would be beneficial for the whole family. At the price for the bottle though it would be more of a luxury for the family, as it is a little out of my price range on what I would normally spend. But then you have to way up the fact of how good it is for the family, so I guess would be a spare of the moment choice if I grabbed a bottle in the shopping or if it was on sale that week.
I love the idea of natural products on my skin and my family's skin. Why not use the best options available for our precious skin? Only Good Delight Natural Body Wash looked like a great option to try out in our home.
When I used this body wash with my children, they loved the smell. They described it as a berry flavour! Miss Four thought it was "so yum". It is always good to find a body wash that the children like. This means that they are more likely to be willing to use it. Mr Six will do what he can to get out of having a wash and he found that this body wash was a treat and therefore he was keen to use it.
When Mr (now) Six was a baby, he would react really badly to soaps, creams and moisturisers. He would break out in eczema. Since then, I have avoided using any body wash etc unless I was pretty certain that he would be ok. The fact that Only Good Delight Natural Body Wash is a natural product, I was very keen to try it on him. There is no sign of a reaction on his skin, so that is great. I haven't used actual soap on my body for years because of the same reason and I am always looking for a good body wash option.
The bottle is nice and easy to use, especially if trying to get some body wash while in the shower. It is easy to use this pump bottle and it dispenses a good amount at a time. After using it, my skin is left refreshed and my sense of smell is given a really sweet treat.
I really liked the fact that the ingredients list shows the scientific name of the contents followed by what that actually means in brackets. For example, phormium tenax (harakeke) - without having harakeke in brackets I would have had no idea what the ingredient was. By showing me what it was in 'real life', I was able to recognise it as something natural.
When my sister saw the Kiwireview's Facebook page post to say that I was going to review this product, her response was "I use the 'Only Good' body wash for our family Kate..... You will Love it". My sister is very particular about what she will use with her family and the fact that she uses the body wash for her family is a great endorsement in my opinion. I can now second that endorsement as I have had the chance to use it one myself and with my family. We are really enjoying trying the Only Good products.
My hands can flare up really easily and really badly and there aren't many soaps that leave my skin feeling good, even though they claim to be soap free and gentle on the skin. Straight away I was happy to see, nice and clearly on the label, that this product is cruelty free and palm free. The bottle says to apply generously, I just pumped the bottle once and that one pump was plenty to give myself a good wash, and it also tells me that this 445ml bottle is going to go a long way.
To me this smells a little of herbal tea and tea tree oil with a dash of citrus to it, which I didn't quite like the first time but once I got used to the smell I quite like it. I'm also a fan of the fact that whilst it smells quite strong in the shower, it doesn't leave a strong smell on my skin, so a huge plus in its favour when other brands leave a strong lingering smell. I also love that my skin doesn't even feel a tiny bit dry after using this soap and it doesn't leave me feeling like I have a thin layer left on my skin.
This bottle is going to last me well, but great price and doesn't dry me out even a little, I'll be getting this in the future for sure.
I am not one to normally use body wash. This is normally due to all the nasty things that linger inside some brands and also the impact they have on the environment. When I saw this body wash come up for review and knowing the brand as one that is kind on the environment, 100% natural and palm oil free I was keen to give it a go.
I have very sensitive skin so was a bit careful in trying this product at first. It is quite often the fragrance that I react to so really did not know how my skin was going to react to a berry and pomegranate combination. To be extra careful I first started using this as a hand wash and after not having any reaction after a couple of days use decided to give this a go as a body wash. I loved how this body wash lathered up well meaning that it did not take a lot to cover the whole body. I have now been using this for a week in the shower and to this point have not had a reaction. To me this means that it is suitable for sensitive skin - well mine anyway.
Only Good has taken pride in their packaging making it an up-class looking product. Being a pump bottle means that you only get what you need, making the product go further. The smell of this body wash is amazing and unlike some other body washes I have used in the past the smell lingers a little after washing it off. The one thing I would like to see Only Good do is to find a way that the bottle can be refilled making the packaging even more environmentally friendly.
I love the fact that some manufacturers put a lot of thought into the design of their packaging. Over the last few days I have been trying out this body wash, and, even before I used it for the first time, I was impressed by how easy it was to use in the shower. We have a very small bathroom and the shower is over the bath, so that means large bottles are a nuisance as they tend to fall in! This bottle is the perfect size. It is not too tall so it fits on the hanging shelf without sticking out sideways yet it holds a surprisingly large amount. And it looks classy!
The perfume is quite subtle (important when there are other people using it as not everyone appreciates an overpowering floral smell which lingers long after it is rinsed off); the fruity tones are certainly there but they are not intrusive; you really have to concentrate fully to identify them. The ingredients, in line with Only Good's other products, are all natural and designed to nourish the skin. The label assures me that it will contribute to "healthy glowing skin". Not sure about the glowing part but it certainly makes my skin feel good and does not leave it irritated as some harsh products do.
A visitor who stayed overnight tried out this product (at my suggestion) and commented that she loved the way the gel came out of the pump. Some products are too thin so too much comes out in a single quirt and then heads straight down the drain; others are so thick you have to take the pump head off before you can access them. I had not thought of that - because it comes out in just the right quantity, it had not occurred to me that this too is a selling point.
After over a week of use by me (and once by my visitor) there is still plenty left in the bottle. This means it is economical to use and certainly worth the price tag. I will be adding this to my shopping list in future along with the other Only Good products I have tried to date.
I am all about chemical free health and beauty products, the fact that the Only Good range is also cruelty free, affordable and readily available in Supermarkets only makes the range all the more appealing to me! I am also a huge fan of the fact Only Good is 100% New Zealand Made. Supporting local brands is vital to our economy!
The bottle screams elegance and luxury to me. It is something I am proud to display in my bathroom. The label is filled with all the information that one would require and well set out. All the main points of Only Good stand out well. The product is very eye catching!
The smell, oh my gosh, luxury! The scent of the body wash is Acai Berry, Pomegranate & Vitamin C. There is a crisp, natural scent with a hit of citrus. I wasn't sure what to expect with the scent but was delighted. It smelt so fresh. I am most certainly a huge fan. This is something I will not be sharing with my children and keeping as a treat for myself. Although I would imagine the chemical free, soap free body wash would be great for kids with problem skin like mine.
When I first saw this product become available for review, like the Protect handwash, I was delighted, I've seen the Only Good brand on the shelf at our local New World and was intrigued by the idea behind the product range. More and more awareness is being spread about harmful ingredients in health and beauty products, and it's great to have another cruelty free, safe option to choose from.
My first impression of the product is that the packaging sets itself apart from your typical health and beauty products, making it easily identifiable on the shelf at your local shop for future purchases, and looks great next to my organic shampoo and conditioner on the shelf in the shower. The label has a subtle texture, and an easy to read font with soft pastel colouring. The bottle itself is made from recyclable plastic, and is 445ml in size with an easy to use pump. Immediately on closer inspection of the label the attributes of this product stand out - this product is all natural, cruelty free, made in New Zealand, is safe for septic systems, AND this particular product is vegan friendly, like most of the only good products (bar the ones that contain honey).
After using this body wash for more than a week it's clear that it is a well formulated product that is gentle to your skin and doesn't contain any heavy colouring like some comparable products. One niggle that I do have is I do like to use an above average amount of product and the pump does disperse a more moderate amount. The scent of Delight is very similar to the Protect handwash and yet the two are made with different ingredients which I found unusual, however the smell is very pleasant.
If you're wanting an organic, vegan friendly body wash that is or will be available from your local supermarket for a reasonable price then Only Good Delight is definitely worth a try - it doesn't leave any nasty residue in your shower and it's gentle on your skin. I don't favour this product as much as their Protect handwash, but I do appreciate their efforts with making a great product and will endeavour to try the rest of the range.
