Breaking Bad Bathrobe Cooksuit Design with Hood (Yellow) product reviews

I donâ ™t generally get sucked in by designer merchandise. Who wants to pay out lots of hard-earned dollars for an overpriced plastic toy or a totally unnecessary gadget just because it features the logo of the latest blockbuster movie or TV series? Not me! Well, not until I was asked what I would like for Christmas. And I just happened to be browsing the Mighty Ape website where they were featuring a range of discounted clothing. And I just happened to notice that one of the items was a bathrobe â¦

OK, I did need a new bathrobe (dressing gown?) OK, I could live with the bright yellow colour. OK, it was made of that lovely fluffy polyester fleece that is very warm and light and machine washable and all those other pluses. OK, it came as a unisex-one-size-fits-most deal which meant it would almost certainly fit me. OK, it had two pockets which is always useful. OK, it had a hood that could be pulled down to keep my entire head warm.

OK, who am I kidding? I have to own up to being a total Breaking Bad addict, and this was a Breaking Bad bathrobe complete with a fake satin respirator stitched on to the hood (for hazardous moments) and the Breaking Bad (Br 35 Ba 56) logo stitched on to the left front. Away flew my ethical objections to buying designer gear. This was a whole new category and I admit freely that I have been willingly sucked in.

I could not be more delighted with the product now that it has arrived. It fits well, it looks good, it is extremely comfortable, and is certainly going to get lots of wear once the weather turns colder. It is also lightweight enough to be included in my backpack on the odd weekend escape and will barely affect my 7 kg cabin baggage limit.

I was impressed with the service. I purchased it through Mighty Ape (the easiest way to obtain it if you are in New Zealand) and, unlike many online suppliers, they use a courier who will deliver to a PO Box. That is an issue for me as I live in the country so rely on a box in town for my mail delivery. I was also delighted that they delivered when they said they would â" again, this is something that not all companies will do. I ordered it the day before a long weekend and was told it would reach me on the next working day. Sure enough, I received a text from NZ Post just before 7 am that day to tell me it had arrived.

The parcel was securely wrapped and, even though the contents were not breakable, they were well padded with packaging material. They had not stinted on the bubble wrap. Well done, Mighty Ape, for a great service.

I would like to encourage all those people out there who donâ ™t normally buy products like this to check this one out. It is something I would consider purchasing for a family member or friend, having experienced for myself the quality of the garment. As far as I am concerned, it is a winner.
