Product reviews...
When I saw the LEGO Duplo Creative Build set on sale at the warehouse a couple of weeks ago I caved in and decided to buy it for my nearly 3 year old. She has suddenly developed a case of Duplo mania just recently, but only has a very small amount of it consisting mostly of a burger set, ice cream set and an animal set, I had been looking for a large set with just the basic block pieces for quite some time as I felt that it would be a good addition to what she already had and being just a random block assortment I though t would help to foster her creativity even more! Though this isn't what you would probably call a LARGE box of blocks by any means it was the biggest I have seen and wasn't to badly priced on special for $37.99 for Duplo.
Inside this box of Duplo you will spot a bright, colourful rainbow of blocks in every colour and shade imaginable from pink, to turquoise, brown to black there certainly is a lot of choice to get those creative juices flowing. There is a great mix of square blocks, rectangular blocks, flowers, chairs, people, wheels and suitcases and some of the blocks have even been decorated to look like certain things such as ice-cream, shells and orange juice. Miss 2 has spent many hours already enjoying this new addition to her Duplo collection sorting the colours into groups of colours, and building various different objects such as our current favourites rainbows, houses and towers.
This set of Duplo is great for developing a child's creativity, with limitless ideas of things that can be built, they are great for little hands yet big enough not to get stuck in a mouth. This Duplo also provides a great tool for learning the names of colours and also for counting. Hours of fun to be had for sure, a gift idea sure to please.
