I have two LEGO lovers in my house, my three year old and my seven year old, as such, birthdays and Christmas now has some LEGO under the tree or pocket money goes on it.
My son got some money from his great great uncle for Christmas and after a long hunt at both The Warehouse and Toy World, this was his final choice (at 20% off it was even better for the pocket). The illustrations on the back are fun and vibrant, it shows easily that there will be three bags of lego, one for the front of the truck and two needed for the back, as well as letting you know that when completed, you'll be able to open it a few ways which rather excited my son.
Putting it together wasn't too hard, the only bit that confused us was the base plate as we the picture in the booklet appeared to be covered up fully yet the actual base plate had 6 holes in it. It took about an hour to do it, though that was being distracted by the TV, and so long as you stick to the opening of just one bag per book, then it makes it so much less confusing. My son loves this set, and the great thing with it, as with any LEGO set, the pieces can be used for anything.
