Love, life and everything in between. Midnight kisses and summer crushes, first dates and heartbreak - there's never a dull moment in Heartside Bay. This is the next not-to-be-missed instalment in the lives of Lila, Polly, Eve and Rhi.

Everyone in Rhi's life seems to be keeping secrets - including Rhi herself. Can Rhi confront the secrets of the past in order to make a future with Brody?

Being a teenager is hard!! But it must be extremely difficult to have your parents fighting all the time also. To hear them say 'I wish that they had never married the other person'. Also having your mother continually harras you over your school work and insisting you do well. It must be harder still having a sibling die and having your parents depressed all the time having no happiness in there life.

For Rhi this is life. Her parents hate each other and they seperate just before school exams. So much is going on in her life and it is crushing her. Then there is Brody and trying to figure out her feelings for him just pushes the poor girl over the edge.

This is a true teenage book dealing with the scary emotions of not being able to breath, feeling sufficated and not being able to control your own life. But, it has to be said Cathy Cole has such a fantastic writing style that you just want to keep reading. It is fast paced and really simple. It deals with a lot of emotions and so much happens in such a short period of time.

I curled up and read this in bed while my husband and girls were upstairs watching a movie and managed to finish shortly after the movie had ended. It is a great read for teenagers and young at heart. It captures all of the emotions including finding your one true love. A great book. I don't usually enjoy the Rhi stories but this one was very captivating. Although, I was a little upset Eve was not really mentioned nor the fact of where she is living.

Product reviews for listing 3001: Surface Detail
Written by Iain M. Banks

Product image for Surface DetailIt begins in the realm of the Real, where matter still matters.

It begins with a murder.

And it will not end until the Culture has gone to war with death itself.

It started in the Real and that is where it will end. It will touch countless lives and affect entire civilizations, but at the centre of it all is a young woman whose need for revenge masks another motive altogether.
