This tub of Puhoi Valley yoghurt was on special this week, and it was the only one I could see that I hadn't already tried. I am not the biggest fan of apricot, but when it's done well, it can be good. I already had my apricot and honey scone toast in the trolley and I thought I could use the two products together.

Earlier in the week, I had a bread and butter pudding with the scone bread and then I served this with ice cream and then with this yoghurt. I thought the yoghurt was an excellent accompaniment for the pudding. The taste of the apricot and honey sauce really sat well with the apricot pieces in the scone bread. The flavour was what I had expected, sweet but tart and an after taste of a bush style honey.

The sauce itself is a great rusty orange apricot colour. The texture is not 100% smooth so you can see chunks of apricot amongst it. Its a great flavour which mixes well with the creamy sourness of the yoghurt. When I purchased the tub, the girl at the checkout told me I was in for a treat. This one was her favourite one. I told her hat the lemon was my favourite so far. I didn't think any of the other flavours could compare. However, I would say the Apricot and Honey was a close second place as far as favourite flavours goes. Yum!
