Product reviews...
I am quite simply addicted to the Vanilla Latte flavour of these coffee sachets! I have drunk coffee all my adult life but can't handle a strong coffee - much preferring instant (strange I know) and will only drink a mocha if having a coffee at our local cafe. However these sachets are a whole other story - they are like having a cafe in my own kitchen at home (or work, or wherever really - even while camping)
I love that these are ready to go in sachets with the perfect pre measured amount of coffee. They create such a delicious tasting coffee too - coffee mixed with vanilla - which you can definitely taste unlike some brands out there. I also love the way they have a great frothy layer on the top - just like a cafe style coffee. Its the little things that make your coffee seem extra special and this is one of them! The sachets are great in that they are so easy to tear the end off to get into and you don't end up with spilt coffee everywhere. I just about always have one of these lying round in the bottom of my hand bag - it doesn't matter if it sits there for a few days or even a week as they still stay 100% fresh which is just fantastic.
I have to mention that probably the only down side for me is the sugar content in these which is quite high - especially when you add that I find I still need to add half a teaspoon of sugar! However of all the things you can eat/drink these days that are "bad" for you - this is probably the least of my worries. I also tend to only buy these boxes of sachets when they are on sale otherwise they are a little bit expensive for our budget.
Still a wonderful product that I simply love drinking - in fact I don't know whether I would have got through having a new born baby without these . Fully recommend to everyone!
I am not a huge coffee drinker myself, but on the odd day I find myself needing some sort of pick-me-up and these little beauties do the trick perfectly! Not only are they delicious but they are so quick and easy to make. I am a huge fan of the white chocolate Mocha (being a white chocolate fanatic) and also the Vanilla Latte ones seem to go down rather smoothly.
I find adding a small dash of milk helps to soften the flavour as I feel that pouring the hot water directly onto the coffee gives it a slight burnt taste. The milk helps absorb the hot water without ruining the taste of the coffee. It also means that it is ready to drink more quickly as you don't have to wait as long for it to cool down. Another added bonus.
My partner for months was spending ridiculous amounts on fancy coffee pods for his coffee machines that he would have to make up. He would have to wait for the coffee machine to warm up, then make sure he didn't let the water run through the pod for too long or it would burn the coffee. Then he would have to froth up the milk and get it just right so that it was at the right temperature. A cup of coffee was taking 10-15 minutes to make and half the time something would go wrong he would throw it out and have to start again.
Now he keeps his office kitchen stocked with these little beauties. The staff loves them as there is such a variety of flavours that it caters to everyone's tastes and they have a delicious hot beverage within the time it takes to boil the kettle! Perfect!
Caramel Latte while its easy to make, handy especially first thing on a Monday morning when running late and just need that pick me up that normal instant coffee doesn't give. Its delicious, and smooth to drink, just make sure to stir it quite well otherwise you get those nasty lumps that come from powdered coffee. Also adding a touch of milk makes it so that you avoid burning the tongue... learnt that one the hard way. But they are seriously a god send when you are unable to find the $5+ dollars for a latte at the coffee shop, or don't have the time to stand around and wait for the coffee to be made.
If you were to compare them to what you do get in a coffee shop, to be honest these are the closest thing that you are going to get to the "real" thing.
As a university student, the price of one of these packets is about what you would expect to pay for a decent cup of coffee and perhaps a sweet street. So they are defiantly value for money and unless you actually tell anyone what your little secret is, no one will ever know the difference.
I am not a huge fan of coffee but these individual sachets are a blessing to have on a cold winters night when all the milk has been used in the house and I am after a warming beverage of some sort to warm the cockles!!
I prefer the latte or mocha variety as neither have a strong coffee after-taste...and usually I make a larger than normal cup so the coffee taste is more watered down than usual if using a normal sized up. But to me the taste is perfect!
I like how everything you need is in the sachet and all I do is add the hot water, give it a stir and the end result is a frothy and milky beverage. I was first introduced while visiting a friends house and she made me one, and not being a huge coffee fan I was fully impressed they tasted as good as they did and since then I buy them whenever they are on special at the supermarket and have a cup every now and again but when guests visit they are very pleased to be offered a cup.
It is a posh coffee drink for a fraction of the price not that I have bought that many coffees when I visit cafĂ ©'s etc. but if they taste as good as these I may have to start.
Mmmmm this morning I feel like a takeaway coffee...and these days I can do that at home with a coffee sachet and my Ideal Cup...
I love instant coffee (not all brands but most), and if it wasn't for the fact my body needed food then coffee would be my staple I also love cafe/takeaway coffee; cappuccinos, lattes, mochas, espressos, they are all so good. I love the smell of coffee houses and the aroma that a good coffee leaves behind. I do not however love the prices that accompany these takeaway/cafe coffees.
But these days you can buy all these wonderful coffee flavours from your local supermarket and I especially love the Nescafe cafe menu - 14 wonderful varieties of coffee available in boxes of 10 sachets (individual flavours, not mixed). The boxes are easy to open...real easy! Which is great for us coffee lovers, who need their caffeine fix. The sachets are also simple and easy to open, just tear and you are done.
Making the coffee could not be easier either, tear that sachet, pour into your cup (add a t.spoon of sugar or a splash of milk - if wanted, but not needed), add water, stir...and there you have it! One cafe style coffee right there in front of your eyes. Smooth, creamy, frothy, and that beautiful coffee aroma lingering in your home (not great for non-coffee lovers or drinkers however). Mmmmmm yum.
My favourite is the caramel latte, I always have a box of these. They are not for friends lol They are just for me I do however keep a box of cappuccino or Vanilla latte near by for friends, and my brother who visits home once in a blue moon loves that I always have the mocha ones esp for him The sachets do contain a lot of the mix, but my brother makes his up with half a sachet (that includes if he's having a latte or cappuccino) per cup and they still froth and taste fine (and he is normally a strong coffee drinker).
I must admit to being very partial to Nescafe Cafe menu's flavoured coffees. I have tried quite a few varieties and I haven't met one I hated so far. They are quick, convenient and easy at home and on the go. You can pick them up for as little as $5 a box too if they are on special.
Mocha - chocolate coffee with a frothy top to it. I love these. The balance of the chocolate is just right.
Cappuccino - These come in strong for more caffeine hit, sweet for those with a sweeter tooth and skim as well for those who are use to trim milk. They also do a straight Cappuccino which is classic. This is probably the most versatile and universal flavour. It also comes with a chocolate shaker which is cute and adds something fun to the froth.
Vanilla Latte - this ha a smooth and creamy vanilla flavour to the coffee. A friend of mine loves it when she comes to visit and I have a box of this. I love it because I don't have to lift a finger - she makes the coffees for me.
Caramel Latte - This would be a favourite of mine because Caramel is just one of those flavours for me. Its creamy and smooth like the vanilla, but I think I prefer this flavour over the vanilla for sure. Just got that buttery sweetness that caramel brings.
These are the best things to have in my cupboard when im caught short with no coffee in the house. I dont drink coffee and nether does my husband so between us we actually forget to pick up coffee for our guests.
I have now gone and brought these boxes for those moments of guests turning up and I have not replaced the coffee yet. Of course they get used for guests when Im feeling in a nice mood. They are so easy to use, tip contents into a mug, pour hot water and DONE, yup i get those ones that want extra milk or extra sugar in it but for most of the time they are quick and easy to get out and i dont mind it.
These have been great having in the house for my babysitters, so they have a decent coffee while looking after the kids. i cant comment on the taste itself but my guests faces say it all, yummy. My taste comment is from what I've been told
Unfortunately I do not own a coffee maker so have to drink instant coffee at home although I am a super big fan of cappuccinos and mochas. I tried these through a giveaway sample on facebook and have since been buying them from time to time to have in the cupboard for a treat when I get bored of instant coffee.
I have tried a few of the different flavours including cappuccino, latte, mocha, and hot chocolate and have enjoyed them all so far. I like the fact that there are skim options also so I feel less guilty about drinking them on my diet. My favourite flavour is the skim cappuccino it is not the same as a cafe coffee but it is a nice creamy coffee which is just a bit nicer than a flat instant coffee.
They are easy to use the coffee, milk powder and sweetener is all in the one sachet so you just add hot water and stir to make a creamy coffee. There is quite a lot in each sachet though so you really have to stir it really well to dissolve all the powder as it is not very nice at all when you end up getting a big lump of it in your mouth.
They are quite good to have in the cupboard when you are having someone over too to make them a coffee although they are not suitable for my mother in law as they do have sweetener she finds them too sweet. My daughter also likes to have the hot chocolate for a treat after school or before bed.
