Product reviews...
When this chalk was on the market it was an amazing product. I had it for my daughter who took no time in turning our concrete patio into a work of art. Now there is just plain old crayola side walk chalk which is nowhere near as eye popping as the effects these used to create but still just as much fun.
I think all kids will at some stage use sidewalk chalks at home, my daughter used to love it!! She would draw hopscotch boards and then use the board to play hopscotch. She used to look incredibly funny hopping along on one foot trying to keep the glasses carefully balanced on her nose, but with the glasses on the chalk used to really pop out at you so she liked to wear them.
You got good value for money with these as they were double ended so you got a good range of colours and for chalk the colours were really bright and eye catching. We have just bought chalk for my son to play with outside and the colours are nowhere near as bright as these used to be and are more of a pastel colour.
This is another one of those crayola products that I would love to see back on the market in New Zealand as they are really cool!!
this is an awesome product no matter your age or level of artistic skills, we had so much fun creating new scenes and designs on our footpath, and testing out the techniques in the how to booklet, which were super easy to follow and helped give us so pretty creative ideas of our own.
I liked the glasses, they are comfortable and don't slip off the kids heads nor too tight for my big head.
another thing i liked was the dual ended chalk, meaning there are less pieces to chase around and clean up after ourselves and it also helps contrast the right colors together for the best possible effects.
the thing I really enjoyed about the product is you can use it in the sun or shade and it will work, i thought when buying the product I would have to use it in the shade as it is darker and that any extra light from the sun would spoil the display but i was so wrong.
I think each color must appear at a different level of the "3d world" as the kids pointed out that it worked when wearing them while looking through the coloring in books, which i thought was neat as it makes it less limited to only using the chalk supplied with you're purchase.
overall it is just an amazing product no matter what you draw it turns out in 3d, it washes away easy enough, the kids and I both had fun with it, the colors really jump out at you, and there is enough chalk to go around, packaging was really cool and is what drew us into a purchase.
I do recommend to get a better effect though that you use thicker lines and around one and a bit finger spaces between the colors, one of the chalks crumbled a bit to much but it was still loads of fun and well worth the money for an afternoon of entertainment.
