Product reviews...
I love the convenience of having a pack of pens and small colouring pages. I thought it would be great for travelling and for "those" moments in restaurants when Mr3 needs a distraction. I purchased these for him from The Warehouse and they were very reasonable priced.
Sadly they were not practical like I originally thought as each page is loose, I was under the impression it was a small colouring book, although it does say "colouring pages" so that was my own mistake. But due to each page being loose my son just takes them all out of the box and leaves them all over the floor, or walks on them, and once they are out of the box its very difficult to get them back in so we have actually ended up throwing over half of these pages out as they have just been unusable.
My son does think they are very cool but the pens are not very high quality either. He has barely used them and they have already started running out of ink and one of them has already dried up before he even used it at all.
I would not recommend this for young children, Maybe older children, or maybe if they were something you were only going to give your child one page at a time they might be okay.
My son received the 'cars' version of this product, so the same, but different characters. Its a really neat idea as the pens sit in one side of the packet and the 80 loose leafs of paper on the other. My son loves that there is so much paper and heaps of pictures to choose from.
What mum doesn't like is that he pulls all the papers out, and they are time consuming to put away! But in saying that, its not too bad and this product has provided him with hours of entertainment. Being loose leafs allows other children to participate in the drawing of the same characters, so it does have its advantages in that aspect.
The pens are little and really good for his little hands and they have lasted and are still working at least a year on. Another great feature is that when my son leans hard on the pen it hasn't 'turtled' in and become unusable. I feel that the pictures are a but detailed for a 3 year old as my son who even now at 4 cannot stay within the lines.
Overall a good quality product from a trusted company! I would definitely recommend this product to others.
The Toy Story Mini colouring pages are awesome! Great to keep children quiet whilst encouraging their ability to colour in between the lines. I feel it should be 4+ though as my daughter is 3 and she hasn't grasped the concept of drawing in the lines yet. How ever she does still make great colouring in!
The 6 colouring felts are a great size for little hands and all of the felts and colouring-in pages are stored in a compact little box. Also great for using in the car on long or short journeys.
I would definitely recommend this product to others as it has my daughter spending hours with it!
