Lulu loves animals.
When Lulu goes on holiday, she finds there's a dog living on the beach.
Everyone in the town thinks the dog is trouble . But Lulu is sure he just needs a friend.
And that he's been waiting for someone just like her....
A fun filled series for early readers and animal lovers alike.

This is a lovely story about Lulu and her cousin Mellie, two seven year old girls, who are best friends but are very different. The story follows the girls as they go on holiday to the seaside with Lulu's family and meet "the Dog from the Sea".
I loved the simplicity of this book and how lovely themes thread very subtly through the story. For example Lulu and Mellie have very different interests but compromise to be able to achieve both of their aims ie Mellie to build her kite and Lulu to befriend the Dog.
It also illustrates how things can always go wrong on holiday but you can still have a great time (and laugh about it a lot in the years to come...!!).
This book has very cute black and white drawings related to the text but only on every few pages.
This is a great book for a young reader and is in chapter form so a fun bedtime read also.
I would definitely recommend this book and it would make a great present to a 6-8 year old.
Fantastic book for you middle age children that really aren't the older or younger group unless you are going to read it to them.
This easy to read book is accompanied by great pictures that help tell the story of Lulu and her holiday. Taking mum, dad, Sam and Lulu's friend Mellie it certainly makes for an interesting holiday.
"I should like to know much, much more about the dog from the sea," said Lulu. Through-out the story you learn more about the dog from the sea and the disasters that the family have.
I certainly as a bit of an animal lover would like to see what other adventures this wonderful author has come up with. Personally i'm looking forward to the Lulu ones as i feel i know her.
Happy reading to those both young and old. especially the animal lovers among us.
