Slide and Find Trucks. Behind sliding panels you will find all sorts of trucks... can you guess which?
Product reviews...
This is a must book for any child that is interested in trucks.
This book was brought for my boy when he was 1 and still has it, its withstanding all the opening and closing in the last 2 years and standing that really well. Its a great price for such a fun hands on book.
What i love about this book is the slide and find panels its teaching children to have a guess and as they learn the book over and over they get it right and the excitement on their faces is amazing. Our book is still together with all panels in tack unlike some other books we own. Sliding seems to be a more fun way than lifting the flaps that seem to come apart quickly and you find you're gluing them back on.
The pictures are great for children, bright and grabs the attention well, there isn't a lot of writing which is great for young children as they like pictures and as they get older can learn to read the simple words that come with the pictures. I like how it teachers children different things like matching workers with certain transport, it helps talking with them about it and with my son we go hunting for those certain jobs.
I recommend this book as a mother and childcare teacher, one of the greatest books for those truck lovers.
If you have any child who is vaguely interested in trucks then this is a must have!!!
With an extremely reasonable price, this book is sturdy enough to withstand everyday use with my group of 20ish two and three yr olds, and has yet to have any major damage done to it - apart from some pen marks (oops!).
The slide-and-find panels on this book are inspired and I don't know why more publishers haven't taken on this format and run with it... the children have yet to pull any off, pick at the pictures or generally destroy pages as usually happens with the lift-the-flap variety of books.
The pictures in this are bright, simple and not cluttered with too much writing. However, the writing that is there is leading enough to actually make the children think about the pictures e.g. Which worker matches up with which truck? (Farmer/Tractor).
Like I said, if you have a child (or swag of children) that are interested in trucks of any shape, then this is a book that you MUST buy!!!
