Product reviews...
OMG Sugar Cookies! Do I really need to say anything more?? Ok probably.
Miss 4.5 was a big fan of the cream and berry jam filling. They reminded me very much of Shrewsbury biscuits but the cream filling gave them an extra "something". Nice and firm and the jam was perfectly sticky. The biscuit itself was yummy and melty (my new word, only one that can describe them!).
Hubby and I both preferred the Chocolate with vanilla cream filling and the chocolate cream filling. The filling was perfectly creamy and again the biscuit positively melted. A little crumbly, kind of like shortbread, totally worth it though.
Price wise, to be honest I don't often buy biscuits but from what I looked at recently they seemed to be very well priced. If I was to buy biscuits I'd definitely look at getting these.
Absolutely perfect morning tea treat!
These Roshen cream biscuits are lovely. I did a taste test at the office (free biscuits as long as they tried both Strawberry and Chocolate and gave me their feedback). General consensus was that they were tasty, good size and perfect for a morning tea snack.
There were quite a few comments about the similarity that these had to Oreos and Shrewsberrys. So while not exactly original as a type of biscuit, if you're a fan of either of those you'll probably like these.
The strawberry version had the added bonus of some cream as well as the jam surprise in the middle. Jam was that nice stickiness, perfect for this type of bikkie.
Both chocolate and strawberry were quite crumbly, so don't expect to eat them without crumbs on your desk (or in your bed depending on where you have them). But a good option for with a coffee.
They were standard biscuit size, and with a serving size of 2 (6 servings per pack) that was pretty generous and more than what you'd need in one morning tea sitting.
The kids tried them and their overall favourite was definitely the chocolate cream (but that might be biased by the fact that anything with the word 'chocolate' is a winner in their books!)
The scores I've provided are the average from the seven different reviewers. For a comparison the individual biscuit scores below:
Strawberry cream : Taste 6.6, Portions 8, Uniqueness 5.5 Personal Choice 5.5
Chocolate cream : Taste 8.2, Portions 8, Uniqueness 6.6, Personal Choice 7.7
Overall, a tasty treat!
Oh Roshen thank you so much for these amazing cream biscuits. They are simply awesome!!
The price, absolutely fantastic! Flavour, perfect! Uniqueness, absolutely!! and so so cute. Packaging, loving it! I love the way the top comes off like a lid, and the hard foil inside to keep them even fresher and to stop as many breakages (ok i only assume that is what its for as unfortunately i do not read Russian, ... and personal choice, for sure. Yep these score an even ten for me.
Sugar Cookies with a cream filling and berry jam drop: these are so yum. I thought being sugar cookies they might be a bit sweet, but nope not at all. The berry jam filling in the middle is perfect and the cookies go wonderfully with a milo for supper, and my little girl loved the little shape on them showing the jam underneath.
Sugar Cookies with a chocolate cream filling: A lovely little cookie, which was a firm favourite of master 9s, which is great because he had liked the toffees and one lot of wafers but other than that he did not personally like any of the other products. I tend to think they were just too sweet for him really, as he did not even like the Roshen praline balls, and everyone loved them.
Chocolate Sugar Cookies with a Vanilla Cream filling: Perfect size and flavour and unfortunately never made it back into the pantry.
These biscuits are perfect for in the pantry. Great for school lunches, especially great for afternoon tea with the Queen, or the visitors that think they are the queen
