Gets along with everyone. Has a contagious happiness that spreads like wildfire and always makes the best out of everything. Tops the taste charts with its rich, creamy perfection.
Spread it on your favorite cracker or mix it with some mashed potatoes instead of sour cream to get a lot fewer calories and a lot more flavor, which is never a bad thing.

Product reviews...
Nice. I bought them for granddaughter at first. She has had a few of the "kids" cheeses and prefers these to the slices and other ones. They go well as a spread on filled rolls, salad sandwiches etc. Husband has it on toast lately - yes he has some weird things on toast but hey...they are yummy. We love the Selection varieties.
I'm picky about cheeses, Blue Stilton, Kikorangi Blue and Aged cheddars such as Old Southern and Epicure are the usual buys. But these I do like as a soft cheese, French quality shows. Far better than some of the other soft cheeses, good as a snack with crackers too.
Not the cheapest cheese around but then cheap cheese just tastes like the recycled plastic wrappers they are apparently made from... Better to stick with real cheese - you need less anyway, especially in cheese sauces and the like. The foil is a bit fiddly to get off but not that bothersome.
I wouldn't cook with them, stick with my Epicure for that, but good as snack or in rolls as I have said, or just as a snack, for nibbles. We have made a point of buying them regularly now as well as our other cheeses.
I have always seen these on the supermarket shelves, but due to the price for the small little wedges of cheese you get I have never brought them, as you can buy a small block of cheese, or a pack of cheese singles for around the same price which is much better value for money.
One day I went around to my Mother in Laws house and she had purchased some of these Laughing Cow Cheese Wedges and was telling me how much she loved them, and offered both me and Miss 2 one each to try. Seeing these in the flesh for the first time they reminded me of the Chesdale Cheese wedges that I used to have in my lunchbox growing up, and memories of how much I had enjoyed these as a kid came flooding back to me. I opened Miss 2 her one up first as she loves cheese and was getting rather impatient waiting for her 'special cheese', she took one bite and spat it out, which I knew wasn't a good sign! None the less I gave my wedge a try and I have to say I thought it was awful, it tasted more like a type of cream cheese, rather than that of the processed cheese taste and texture that I had been expecting from my past experience with the Chesdale Cheese Wedges growing up. They were certainly very artificial tasting.
My Mother in Law was shocked that we didn't like them and said she loves them on crackers, personally if I was to have cheese on crackers I would much rather real cheese, or perhaps the cheese spread that you find alongside your peanut butters and marmites.
The packaging is neat, but the wedges are quite hard to open with bits of cheese getting stuck between the foil which is a bit of a waste for the money you pay. I definitely wont be buying these myself and wont be recommending them to others, not a nice taste and a total waste of money!
I got these thinking that it would be a good choice for school lunches and something different so that the kids can't complain about always having the same thing in their lunches.
I put some in the lunches and waited for school and kindy to finish to find out what the kids thought about them. I found that all 3 had about one bite out of it and then discarded it in the lunch box. I asked them what they thought about the wedges and was told "Never ever give us this in our lunches again" and thought that it couldn't be that bad so I opened one to taste. Big mistake, I could taste the artificial taste and not much else.
I thought to get rid of them by offering one to the cat but she basically sniffed at it and ran away without even trying it. I did try and sneak some into the lunches again just to finish it but the kids were a bit more aware of it and refused to even open it. I thought that I would put some on the sandwiches and use it that way but the kids must have a sixth sense and wouldn't even touch it.
I wouldn't recommend it to anyone as I had to throw almost all of it out due to no one liking the way it tastes.
These cheese wedges are simply the yummiest! For me these take me straight back to my childhood where if I was lucky I had one little triangle of goodness in my school lunchbox at primary school. Funny how some things never change and they still taste just as good as I remember them! I can't wait till my baby girl is old enough to be able to include these in her lunchbox as a treat too - its got to be a lot healthier than many other "treat" options out there.
I really like the size portions of these, and although I could eat more than one in a sitting they are the perfect size for littlies which is something you don't find all that often. One thing I will note is that they are really hard, in fact near impossible for littlies (even as old as 3/4years) to open. Being an early childhood teacher there are many children who have these in their lunchboxes and I'm forever opening them for the child as they are just too tricky.
I find the texture and creaminess of these wedges to be just perfect. I also really like that its not a strong over the top tasting cheese that some products can be but is still full of flavour. I have always just eaten these as a snack or part of my lunch etc. but after reading all the other reviews on here I am so going to try out some other ideas. Using these on crackers with chutney or in a toasted sandwich would be great!
While these are reasonably priced I still tend to only buy them on special as it is kind of a lot of money for a few bits of cheese - then again all cheese is expensive these days. What would be totally perfect is if these came in bigger packs as well!!
I remember eating something quite similar when I was a little girl, and having these in my lunchbox for school. I remember how special it felt to have a special wedge of cheese of my own. With that in mind, I bought a round of these Laughing Cow cheeses for my eldest daughter. She really liked the picture of the cow on the front. The cow is laughing and looks really happy and engaging, especially for littlies.
The little wedges are a good size for a lunchbox snack. They are also quite good to pop in a container and take with us to the zoo or to the park as play-fuel. The little packets can be difficult to open. They are tightly foiled, so you can get a bit messy. It can be even messier if the cheese is all melty. Still, the flavour of the cheese is great. Its mild and creamy.
These wedges would make a great addition to a party table as something healthy and a bit different. Both of my girls absolutely love their dairy treats, and cheese is a huge hit. Because of the creamy consistency, this cheese spreads well on toast, sandwiches, and even crackers. This could easily be stirred into hot mashed potatoes for an extra fun cheesy mash. You could even stir it into a basic white sauce.
My son absolutely loves these things and would probably eat them all day if he could. We have so many uses for them as he likes them spread in a sandwich, on top of crackers, and even spread on toast. As they are nice and soft they are easy to spread on a sandwich and one wedge is enough to do a nice layer on one piece of bread so perfect for a sandwich for him. Spread on toast it goes nice and creamy and is a bit of a change from just normal butter.
They taste really nice and are a lot nice than raft cheese triangles these have a lot more natural taste and are a lot like cream cheese. My son loves to eat them just on their own as a snack. They are perfect for putting in his little lunch bag when we go out to playgroup or out to a friends as they are nice and small. I can guarantee if I put one of these in his lunch box it will be the first thing he eats.
I have to hide them from my partner though as he loves them just as much as our son and would eat the whole box in one sitting, so we have to hide them so that Cai actually gets some for his lunches. They are pretty cheap and you can get them on a good special so are quite a cheap thing to add to lunches and make a nice change to normal cheese cut into cubes.
OMG these are the best thing since sliced bread and I mean that literally!! I could sit down and eat the whole box in one sitting they are that good. The wedges are creamy and just melt in your mouth. The foil wrapping is fiddly to get off though sometimes and is a pain for younger children to get them off....the pull cord part usually doesn't pull off the whole wrapper so you have wrestle with the wrapper to get it off before you can access the cheese.
But onto more positive things about these cheese wedges, they have so much flavour which makes them so moreish and easy to eat...and thankfully the are a reasonable price because they have disappeared only after a day of being in the fridge!!
I love using a wedge of cheese in a toasted sandwich the rich creaminess of the cheese wedge melts into a creamy cheese sauce which gives a wow factor to an ordinary toasted sandwich which is way better than a slice of normal cheese....and on top of a baked potato because again it melts easily and runs down the side of the potato..(man my mouth is watering writing this review!). These are just the best...if you are a cheese fan you must have these in your house!
