Now 4 blades with controlled power.
Schick Quattro Energy delivers the incredible closeness of 4 blades plus battery-operated power and extra lubrication to reduce irritation.
Other powered razors vibrate randomly from the handle. Only Quattro's controlled power is centred near the head of the razor.
Lubrication strip with Aloe and Vitamin E has been added before the blades for improved glide and comfort.
Unique ultra-thin blade design provides a clean, close shave. Reduced blade span allows the blades to respond to the vibration of the razor.
Comes complete with a replaceable Energizer AAA battery.
Product reviews...
After spending many years abusing my face by assualting it with cheap razors and soap in order to tame the rampant growth, I started to use razors that didn't fit in the El Cheapo-matic category. I have never really enjoyed the standard 'electric shavers', always having preferred the finished result of a blade of some kind.
As a bit of an experiment, I bought two of the leading razors, and pit them against each other, half a face each. I assigned this unit to my left side, and a razor I had used before to the right side. I was looking for such comparisons as number of strokes until the visible stubble was gone, resulting smoothness, any irritation of the skin, any apparent cuts, ease of use and cleaning, and just an overall 'how good a job' each did.
Alas, despite this unit touting all sorts of enhancements and design improvements over it's competitor, it just didn't match up. The blades are woven with ultra-fine wires, which apparently are supposed to prevent the blades warping and slicing you, but all I found was that the severed hairs just wrapped themselves around the wires, preventing removal and thus interfering with the shave.
I also found that this unit left a lot of small stubble, giving that oh-so-UNsexy sandpaper feel, and was clearly visible within 48 hours, whereas the other unit did a much better job. I had to reshave with the better unit, because let's face it, it looks strange if a guy has half a faceload of stubble... in left-profile, I looked like a hungover drunk!
Overall, I found this unit to be substandard for my needs, and I am hard-pressed to imagine a combination of skin- & hair-types which would somehow enhance this unit's performance. Don't waste your time, go for the better unit and save yourself the sand-blasted shoulders feeling in the morning.
