Product reviews...
Today was crazy hair day at school for my daughter. Usually we just do her hair up with lots of ribbon and hair ties, but as it is her last year in primary school before heading off to high school, she wanted to do something a little more exciting and well crazy, which was fair enough. But she decided she wanted both the pouring bottle hair style AND cupcakes lol
So off we went to find some bits n pieces to help make her hair a little crazy, and naturally she searched out colour. Thank fully these fun coloured hair sprays are available at most discount stores for only $2.00, which was a relief as I really did not want to be parting out big money for hair stuff she was possibly never likely to use again. She is a bit picky about her hair generally.
The plus side to these, not counting the price, is how easy they are to use, and that they are available if a few different colours, so no matter your gender, colour preference or style there is something to suit most people. They are like any can of hair spray, although when you take the first coloured cap off, you are met with a second little cap over the nozzle. I'm unsure of the point of the second little cap, but I guess it has its importance lol
And then, once caps removed...it really is as simple as aim and spray. I highly recommend spraying outside or in a well ventilated area. They have a strong smell. Definitely cover any exposed skin and eyes, nose, and mouth if possible. Depending on what you are hoping to achieve, you do not need to spray to much. Also do not spray and then brush the hair, as you pretty much strip a lot of it out again.
We chose purple, and we are really happy with it. Its a dark purple, and looked awesome in her hair. We even sprayed a little on the bottle, cup, and cupcake cups and some of it stained them ok. All in all a nifty and fun spray for kids. Do not use on toddlers though, I reckon it might be a bit strong smelling for them.
