This is my go-to book for baking, i dont trust skinny cooks (sorry Jo!) therefor i love Jo Seagar, i love recipes that go back to basics using core ingredients and no fuss and this book is so grubby from doing this for me!

the photos in the book are uncluttered and your baking actually looks like the photos which is always a bonus!

Written in a clear, uncluttered style, with easily followed recipes, this book is laid out with great photos of the finished, tasty looking products.

Not being a particularly gifted cook, I was a little unsure how things might turn out if I were ever given a recipe book to review. I was pleased to find that, given the right ingredients, an extra pair of hands for some of the mixing and guidance, I could easily follow the recipes well enough to make passable examples of my own from the pages of this book.

Un/Fortunately, my sweet-tooth took control, and I found myself making batch upon batch of the chocolate fudge slice. The saying is true... you CAN have too much of a good thing. After a few experiments with some of the other recipes, I realised I had achieved far more than I expected.

All-in-all, a great investment for those people learning to cook or just if you want an idea for a nice sweet treat for dessert.
