Mucky is a very smelly horse indeed! None of the other horses want to share his field. When Mucky decides it would be better if he was a unicorn, Owl tries to help.
But prehaps true friends will like him just the way he is?

One of the hardest lessons anyone will learn is its okay to just be you and you do not need to change for no one - as a true friend will accept you for who you are. This is such a valuable lesson to learn and one that can be very difficult to understand especially for young children. That is why this book is just lovely and everyone should read at least once.
Told through rhyme it takes you through Muckys journey to find self worth. Realising that it does not matter what or who he is as long as he is true to himself people will like him and if they don't well they were not worth it to begin with. The pictures are cute and explain a lot and you can feel the hurt that Mucky feels. It has its very funny parts like when 'the flies and fleas would bite his knees and picnic on his belly' and takes you on his emotional rollar coaster.
This book is just lovely. My girls adore it and I hope they have learnt something from it and truely beleive in themselves as Mucky finally does. If everyone learnt this lesson early on the world would be a much better place. Highly recommend.
