Wow, is all I can say. The smell of this body wash is just divine! I wasn't sure what kind of apple smell it would be, and many can smell plastic and artificial. This smells just how a crunchy apple tastes. It is sharp and fresh. You don't need a lot to be able to wash your body if you are using a sponge or body scrubbing mit. It lathers really nicely and doesn't leave any residue or oil on your body. Another bonus is that it doesn't come out too fast, so their is no waste.

The packaging is great, it is fresh and looks 'clean', which is what you want in a body wash in my opinion. The price is great and it is something I would add into my shopping without hesitation.

One night when my son was having a bath, instead of using my usual lush bubble bar for the bubbles, I squirted in some of this body wash to see what would happen. The results were impressive, it created really good bubbles, that were long lasting in the bath. My son loves to 'swim' in the bath and gets his face right under. He came up looking like a very 'hairy' Santa, however it didn't seem to irritate his eyes or skin as he just wiped the bubbles off and carried on playing. So it appears to be good for children skin too.

Overall this is a fantastic product that I would highly recommend and purchase again. I also love that it is NZ made and not tested on animals - a couple of extra bonuses in my books!

I have now tried a couple of different products in the Health Basics range and am very impressed with them so was very keen to give this product a go. I love apples but often don't like the artificial smell you get with some fragranced body products but this surprised me. It doesn't have that strong artificial fragrance that you can get it genuinely smells like a sweet crunchy green apple.

In fact the fragrance of this is so good you can smell it in your bathroom and on your skin for a period of time afterwards so you get that long lasting fragrance you want from a body wash. I have also been using this on my kids and its always nice having a cuddle after bath time when they smell as sweet as an apple. I have also found that it is very gentle on their skin and doesn't cause any irritation that some soap based products can especially on my sons young gentle skin.

I love the fact that it is soap free as it doesn't dry my skin, when I hop out of the shower I feel clean and my skin feels soft and smooth, I have been using it to shave my legs as I have run out of shaving gel and even for that purpose it doesn't irritate or dry my skin. It is also great for this as you can work up a really good lather with the body wash that lasts. Even having used it as bubble bath for my 3 year old it lathers up really well.

My daughter who is a real animal lover is really impressed that it is not tested on animals, she told me keep buying this stuff I like it. I am keen to try others in the range so we still have a few to try and have bought the man of the house the Kaimai Rainfall mens bodywash to try too. Love they are made using NZ ingredients in New Zealand it makes me trust the product more.

I use the health basic hand wash all the time and love it but as I have sensitive skin I have never tried the body wash before. When I saw apple body wash up for review I decided it was time to try it, I love anything apple scented! I hoped the fact it was soap free would mean it wouldn't react to my skin.

When it arrived I was surprised at the size of the bottle, you get a lot of body wash for the price. At first smell I was sold it smelt wonderful, I couldn't wait to be able to give it a try. The design of the bottle is also perfect we don't have much storage space around our shower so to be able to have it from the shower rose was very handy. I also love the no drip feature the last lot of body wash we had that hung up ended up dripping everywhere.

The next morning I had to try it out in the shower, the smell was the perfect scent to wake you up and left me and the entire bathroom smelling wonderful. I found I only needed a small amount as it went a long way which makes it even better value for money. The best part my skin didn't react to it at all, as promised it was soap free and didn't contain any nasty stuff.

I'm not usually a user of body wash, generally because I find the bottles awkward and scents in body washes a bit overpowering, but I decided to give this one a try as it said it was a Gel formula. When the bottle arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by the generous 400ml size and the ease of use and the handy cord was just the ticket for us to hang on the shower rose.

The scent is a subtle apple smell mixed with aloe which I initially thought was a little too faint but when I used the gel in the shower I thought it was just the right mix and scent level. I was pleased that you do not have to use much on your hands or face to get the full benefit so it will be a great asset for my family to use.

I really love the fact that this formula is soap free, paraben free and hypo-allergenic and when I used the wash, it definitely left my skin feeling very smooth and even silky. But the best thing about the body wash is that it is made in New Zealand, something we only noticed when we studied the bottle and our family all thought that this is a real plus and should be advertised on the front of the label for potential purchasers.

Overall, I really liked this body wash and I would buy again, especially at the reasonable price of $4.00 listed above.

When I saw this body wash up for review, I was keen to try it as I could see instantly it was gel-based which I prefer on my slightly sensitive skin - they tend to feel so much more refreshing and are less likely to make my skin break out. Upon getting the bottle I noticed it specifically states that is is hypo-allergenic and soap free and I have to say my skin loves this stuff!

Another reason I was keen to try the apple dew fragrant one is that I prefer to avoid floral based scents which I find sickly. Also upon reading 'green apple' on the label I was having flashbacks to the awesome green apple shampoo that my husband and I both remember and loved growing up with! When I first tried it, I did notice a hint of the green apple but not as much as I was expecting. But it didn't take long for me to decide I loved this scent - it feels more modern and updated than plain green apple. And the smell it left on my skin was quite pleasant and refreshing. Both my husband and my daughter commented on how nice I smelt without any prompting from them about what I'd been using. In fact I think my 6 year old would enjoy using this too, which makes it a great body wash that suits the whole family, but as yet I'm loving it too much to share!

I love the cord which allows me to hang this easily in the shower and it's great that it hangs upside down so it's easy to get at the gel. There's really not anything to hate about this - even the price is fine for the decent sized bottle. The gel isn't super foamy, but I like this in a body wash and I'd happily buy this again.

I was lucky enough to get a chance to try out the Te Mata apple dew body wash by Health Basics and I was very excited as both my two boys have sensitive skin and eczema so its hard to find a body wash that the whole family can enjoy without spending mega bucks on different body washes.

First off I love the packaging - the rope attached is great as I can place it around the shower head so no longer are we knocking over bottles or are left at the bottom of the shower leaking out wasting money. it also means that you are able to use the product without wasted as no trying to shut the lid while holding a handful of body wash. This has a beautiful smell and creates just the right amount of bubbles and is even better in a bubble bath. both my boys loved the smell and even better, it was fine to use on their skin without any rash and it left them smelling even better.

At $4.00 a bottle this is very good value especially as it can be used for my whole family without any complaints I am pleased to see they offer many different flavors in this range and I look forward to trying them all! this is a must try product!

Te Mata Apple Dew, well I don't know about everyone else but for me I love the smell of apples and strawberries in pretty much anything. The smooth sweet smell of this product when lathered up is amazing, so refreshing without it trying to be. Some products try too hard to be invigorating with little aerated balls or whatever in the gel but this body wash does not need any of that.
I have used this range of products before but never the apple scented one. I am going to admit that either because I am a guy or because it was a great idea, I also treat this as a 3 in 1. I use it as body wash, shampoo and conditioner all in one.
Does not need much to get a lather going, does not disperse straight away like cheaper gels in water, stays in the sponge for a good time, is an excellent price and comes in multi purpose packaging. The rope is super handy for draping and hanging over the taps in the shower and the easy squeeze body lets you get just the right amount out without covering your hand in way too much product. I would rate this product the best on the market right now, get in there before they stop making it like most excellent products these days.

It's fun to think 'outside the box' now and again. With some products, that can be a real mission and a half, while others are so full of potential it's harder NOT to think of how they can be used in more than the expected ways. This may not be a "Swiss Army Knife of Possibilities" but it's no one-trick-pony either.

Being fair, I tried this in the shower. As expected, the included rope loop is great, though I admit I wasn't a huge fan of the plastic grommet that is used to attach the loop to the bottle. I would have been happier with the previous version - a loop of rope that locks to itself around the bottle in a Lark's Head knot. It just strikes me as more secure. However, as long as that plastic grommet holds fast, this is almost as effective.

Designing the bottle to hang, and stand, in the same position was great, but usually there is mess from drips and leaks. Not so with these caps, as they contain some kind of rubberised membrane that snaps shut and seals the opening as soon as you stop squeezing the bottle, preventing any dribbles from escaping. Huge kudos to the designer of that gel-saving feature for sure, and to Health Basics for utilising it in this range.

Now, anyone from my generation would know the references... "Shiny and fresh, like little green apples in the Summer time..." - This stuff smells JUST... LIKE... THAT! The product that jingle was promoting was a hallmark product for its day, capturing market share and consumers' hearts alike. This product instantly brought back all those childhood memories in a flash, and made me love this product at the first sniff!

I wanted more. Shower gels, I have a'plenty. But that smell... I wanted that smell more. So... LAUNDRY TIME! Setting up a regular wash, I dolloped a generous blob of this into the fabric softener dispenser of my machine, and let 'er rip. I had recently given the machine's filters a bit of a flush-through and had noticed my last load of washing carried a slightly 'damp dog' smell with it. Not so this load... it came out of the machine bursting with the 'green apples' smell, and that smells stayed with it over 2 days on the line. (I had to leave the washing out for a second day thanks to an unexpected rainstorm and high winds which shoved the rain up and under the carport roof and drenched the clothes again.)

When the clothes were finally dry, a fair amount of that lovely smell had been toned down to near-nothing, but there were still hints of it and that was enough to show me this could really work. Being soap-free and low-foaming, this didn't cause the laundry to turn into something from the final scenes of Ghostbusters, with white foamy mess everywhere. It stayed inside the machine, caused no mechanical or electrical issues, and seems to have done what I hoped - giving my clothes a lovely smell that is appealing and sweet, but not sickly or cloying.

I was highly impressed, and at this price it's very good value no matter which way you use it - as a body wash it's on par with its peers, and as a laundry additive, it's quite effective and safe to use. I will be getting more... in double.

I was thrilled to be able to bring home this little beauty recently. When I first met my husband, he always smelt of apples because of his shampoo. So I love the smell of apple bath products and I was keen to share it with all the family too. The bottle it comes in, is a nice white with a big apple motif on it. I liked the white and green, it made me think of freshness and nature. You can store it standing up or you can hang it in the shower cabinet if you like as it comes on a rope too.

I was the first to try the body wash. For me the shower is my 'me time', it's the one place I am almost always alone (unless someone wants something, of course). I lathered up with this gel and I found it lathered really well and I got a lot of coverage for the amount I used. The smell was peppery and herbal but also had big hints of apple. It was really nice and refreshing.

The next person to try it was Miss 8. She was not that interested in using "mummy's gel" as I think she thought it was for adults. But once I told her that it was soap-free and would be sensitive, she gave it a go. She is usually so sedate in the shower, but she was just about jumping around with excitement once the smell hit her. 'Oh, mum! it smells like apples and forest and nature. I love it! Tell them, that I love it and I love nature'. So there, I have told you! She has used it every shower since very happily.

Miss 3 declared the gel to smell 'nummy' and likes the bubbles. For her bath time is time to get very soapy. She will also 'feed' soap to all her bath pets. So she ends up spending a good hour in the bath with her hands coated in soap bubbles. Because this is a gentler gel I knew that she wouldn't get scaly skin afterwards. As for the mister, he smells like apples - which is all good with me!

Body wash for me is a daily essential. They must be soap free and have a great scent that's not overpowering. I was lucky enough to be able to receive this product to review thanks to KIWIreviews.

My initial impression of the product was good. The bottle is a good height - not too tall for standard shower shelves and has an easy to use flap with a one way valve to dispense. The bottle comes with a removable rope to hang from a shower head or hook for even more convenience.

Apple smell has been a favourite of mine for a very long time - who doesn't love the refreshing fragrance of crisp apple? This shower gel embodies the refreshing fragrance of crisp apple accompanied by subtle notes of white tea. The gel is a great texture to use and has a mild lather to it. The gel contains no soap or parabens and is NZ made - and I didn't feel as if it dried out my skin at all. After using this product I felt fresh, clean and awake. It's a great start to any morning.

The price of this product is extremely reasonable at $4 for 400ml and is great value for the quality of the gel. Highly recommended and ticks most if not all of the boxes.

I was lucky enough to get the chance to review this product. I have eczema so that equals sensitive skin. It's hard to find a product that doesn't flare it up and cause me to itch all day.

First off when I opened the package and grabbed the shower gel out of the package I was pleased to see that the opening was at the bottom. This makes it so much easier to get it out of the bottle and it means I can make sure I use all of the bottle instead of throwing out the container with gel left in it. I was happy to also see it had a rope/string on the bottle which meant I could hang it up in the shower out of toddler reach.

The smell was amazing when I opened the bottle. It smelt so good that you could almost eat it (obviously not advised and I didn't eat it!). It came out of the bottle nice and easy onto my scrubber. It lathered up easily without a huge amount of bubbles. I was pleased to notice after I had rinsed it off that my body felt nice and silky smooth and that my eczema hadn't been irritated at all.

I think the cost of the bottle which is around $4 when I looked online is a very competitive price for 400mls and with the results that I got I will be adding this to the shopping list. I love the fact that this is also not tested on animals and that it is made in New Zealand. I love supporting products that are NZ Made and I look forward to purchasing other types in this range.

Body wash is one of my everyday luxuries so when I was offered Health Basics Te Mata Apple Dew to review I couldn't say no. It has a lovely apple fragrance that reminds me of the apple shampoo we used to have as children. It had a good lather which made my skin feel clean without being a mass of bubbles. My young daughters (5 and 6.5 years) both loved using the apple wash and I enjoyed the smell on their skin as we snuggled up for bedtime stories.

I love the packaging. It was obvious a lot of thought had gone into making it a user friendly product. Firstly the opening is on the bottom which allows gravity to help you get every last bit out of the bottle. It is no drip which is very important in making the bottle last as long as possible and also so the shower floor doesn't become a slippery slide. This no drip valve also made it easy to dispense the small amount needed onto the shower puff. It has a rope that you can hang on a hook, shower mixer or towel rail. All of which I tried but due to having two children that like to spend their time in the shower emptying bottle I had to store this on a high shelf.

At $4.00 for a 400ml bottle it is extremely good value for money and given that Health Basics have put out 10 different body washes in this range (including 2 for men) I think we will be trying them all and adding some to gift baskets. The only thing I didn't like was the long list of chemicals in the body wash.
