Who says modern girls can't believe in fairytales?

Scatty, funny and smart, Lucy is a hopeless romantic. With an unshakeable faith in happy endings, she drives her friends Meg and Chloe crazy as she tied time and again to make her best friend Tom fall in love with her.

Then Lucy meets the man of her dreams - or so it seems. But when she is faced with a case of mistaken identity, a noble quest, a lovelorn serenade and a duel to the bitter end, Lucy must confront the eternal question: is true love fact, fiction, or something in between?

From the bestselling author of the hilarious Love Struck comes this sparkling new novel about love, friendship... and why you shour be very careful what you wish for.

Reading this book, the last thing I expected was to be doubled over in hysterics, trying to explain to bewildered friends and family why I was hyperventilating.
Yes it is that funny. And quirky. And well written.

Lucy is every woman... searching for love in ridiculous places with strange and totally hilarious methods. If you can't relate to this warm and scatterbrained character you are dead. Or possibly a man.

The characters are all very individual and have some bizarre failings and even more bizarre methods of relating to each other. Yet they seem to describe every group of friends in a way that is both funny and slightly disturbing.

All I can say is, once you open this book there is no going back. You will enjoy every single page.

Right from the very first page, this book was a keeper...

With my mother completely bewildered as to why I was laughing insanely to myself, I zipped through this book in a matter of a day and a half...

Lucy, Meg and Chloe are just like you and me (only Australian), they have lives that they aren't 100% happy with, are searching for love with Mr Perfect - and settling for Mr Right-there...

But is Mr Right-there more that what he seems?
Lucy can't seem to stay away from Tom, her on again, off again best friend/boyfriend... until Byron comes along!
Then the dynamics of the group change... Byron is the new apple of Lucy's eye, Tom is forced to look at himself and his place in the group, Meg and Chloe have to put up with the besotted, burned, and sometimes bewildered Lucy as Byron sweeps her off her feet - and into the water!

In the end, love wins over flashiness though and not only our leading lady ends up with Mr Perfect, but so does Chloe, and Meg discovers herself...
