In a dystopian Detroit, grand houses that once housed the wealthy are now homes of the city's most-dangerous criminals. Surrounding the area is a giant wall to keep the rest of Detroit safe.

For undercover cop Damien Collier (Paul Walker), every day is a battle against corruption as he struggles to bring his father's killer, Tremaine (RZA), to justice.

Meanwhile, Damien and an ex-con named Lino (David Belle) work together to save the city from a plot to destroy it.

This is Paul Walkers last completed movie before he tragically died in a car accident. It is rather hard watching the car chase with that big smile of his and those beautiful blue eyes knowing that shortly after this was made he really did die. I got goosebumps when the end credits were about to begin and they had a dedication to him - very surreal.

I usually hate chase scenes and want them to finish straight away, but the chase scene in this movie blew me away it was amazing. I did not want it to end!! David Belle is the founder of Parkour and he is just incredible to watch the way he can manipulate his body to fit through some of those spaces was seriously awesome. Its worth watching the movie just to see his Parkour moves. The only tragedy was there was not more of it. They should of skipped the car chases and done more running chases.

This movie is a remake of the French film District 13 (2004). It still starts David Belle and is pretty much scene for scene the same. From all accounts though the French Movie does kick this one. However, because it is the last movie Walker stars in it got more viewers.

Walker is an undercover cop and most go over enemy lines (so to speak) and stop a bomb from exploding. He finds out the enemy is not the enemy and you can not trust everyone. Through out the bickering Belle and Walker become close friends each with there own agenda. I personally loved the banter these two had going.

It definitely has its merits but the plot was a little higgledy piggledy, still you can easily keep up. I did not find all of the fight scenes convincing especially where Walker was included it looked like he was punching to a script. But I still really enjoyed the movie and really would like to see the orignal now. Still very upset that he will no longer be making movies...... bring on Fast and the Furious.
