My youngest is Scooby Doo mad and all three of my kids love Lego, so what a perfect combination, especially for miss 5.

The main feature of this disc is the main film, Haunted Hollywood, which sees Shaggy and Scooby absurdly win tickets for a trip to Bricktown studios for the entire gang and of course, things are a little off as soon as they reach there, with ghouls abound and stories of ghosts. You'd be forgiven for thinking this could end up overly cheesy, after all both Lego cartoons and Scooby Doo on their own are cheesy enough but mix them together...? However the movie is the right combination of cheesy and there are some fun moments throughout. The plot is your typical one, mayhem and mischief with over the top plans for capture. I enjoyed watching this and the kids so much so that we've watched it half a dozen times so far.

The DVD comes with 5 additional features, the least favourite being an instructional video on how to build the mystery machine (but you need to have the set and the instructions aren't enough that you could create your own with the bricks you have) and a big pumpkin (which you could copy at home). Sleuthing Secrets is a fun little clip which is a mini interview with a lot of cheesy thrown in. There is then 2 classic Scooby Doo episodes, one of which gets linked to at the start of the Haunted Hollywood movie and the other features the headless horseman, so a good inclusion of these two episodes (and enjoyed just as much by my three kids). Last but not least there is a shorted Lego Scooby Doo episode which was just as fun and shows that they could be successful with this mashup as a TV series.

A fun movie that fits the characters perfectly and some great special features, more please.
