My daughter was excited when we got selected to review this and was jumping up and down when ours arrived from the post. The box was attractive and clearly appealed to my daughter with the overwhelming colour of pink throughout the box. When we opened it, it seems like a waste of space and packaging as it only had the stickers and the pens. My daughter thought the box had the shirt or the backpack in it. But she was still happy with the stickers and started colouring with the pens. It came with three pens and the colours were basic. I would have expected primary colours though instead of pink, green and blue. We used it mostly pink and green for the flower decals and all three colours for the butterflies. The pens were perfect for the stickers as they were quickly absorbed and didn't run or stuck to our fingers.

Once all were coloured, my daughter adorned her bag (made from faux leather) and they stuck quite well. It's day 5 now since she first stuck them and not one has fallen off so she is quite happy. For the rest, I used our iron to stick them on a cotton shirt and also my other daughter's fabric coat.

I had difficulty sticking the butterflies on the cotton shirt because they didn't stick too well when you put them on to prep for ironing. As a result, one of the wings of the butterfly was ironed in the wrong place. I learned my lesson then so for the other butterflies, I put on sticky tape first to put them in place and then ironed them on. That worked quite well. This ironing step is definitely not for kids.

All in all, it was an enjoyable activity -- something a parent and child can do to bond (no pun intended!) but I won't spend $20 on something like this -- just because it's not good value for money, especially with only a handful of stickers and 3 pens. Plus the ironing is really tricky.

I really loved the concept of this pack the moment I saw it. When I got it home, I showed my daughter and we got colouring. The colours the box comes with are pink, lime green and then a teal blue/green. The sheets of stickers seem themed. So we had one of flowers, one of hearts and other love stuff and then some butterflies too. You can purchase other pens too, which I think is a neat idea.

My daughter selected the ones she felt would be good for her and her sister and started to colour. I also did a few and I found the pens were good. They didn't seem to bleed and it was easy to be a consistent colour coverage for each sticker. We placed one on her library book bag for school. Because this was a nylon bag, there was no need to heat treat the sticker. It stuck well and and has not shifted since placement.

Yesterday I managed to buy some 100% cotton teeshirts for the rest of the stickers. We placed the stickers this morning. My daughter tried first but found the stickers wouldn't stick very well. I explained that they were designed to be moveable until heat treated. We pushed hard on each one and then using an iron and following the instructions I did the heat treatment on one teeshirt.

When I was finished, I turned the teeshirt inside out and found that despite seeing the glue mark on the teeshirt in one place, I had lost one sticker. For the other teeshirt I used the dryer to heat treat it. I would not recommend using the dryer. When the teeshirt came out it had several glue marks on it, one sticker attached but loose at the edges and the rest of the stickers were in my dryer. Luckily they hadn't stuck to my dryer!

Today we will go and buy some fabric glue from Spotlight to complete the teeshirt project. Thankfully it's not too dear to purchase and the teeshirts I bought were only $5 each. While this is a cool concept and we had a lot of fun with them, the outcome was disappointing. I would say it wasn't all that easy to use or effective. If we didn't have the means to fix the issue it would have been a waste.
