In the comedy Daddy Day Care, two fathers lose their jobs in product development at a large food company and are forced to take their sons out of the exclusive Chapman Academy and become stay-at-home fathers. With no job possibilities on the horizon, the two dads open their own day care facility, "Daddy Day Care", and employ some fairly unconventional and side splitting methods of caring for children. As "Daddy Day Care" starts to catch on, it launches them into a highly comedic rivalry with Chapman Academy's tough-as-nails director... who has driven all previous competitors out of business.

Daddy Day Care is a fun movie and whilst not something you could watch a hundred times it is still enjoyable the ninth or tenth time through.
When two fathers loose their job they decide to open up a day care centre in their own home, bringing in another former co-worker when they get too many children. Along the way they must learn to juggle their new roles, all the children and their various quirks (one goes anywhere but the toilet, one speaks only Klingon and another never takes off his Flash costume). With a small host of children supporting actors this must have been one hectic movie to film at times.
I love the fact that one child speaks nothing but Klingon and the only person who can communicate with him is the third person they brought on the job (and it was due to his fluency in Klingon), the Trekkie in me really liked his character. All the kids do a great job and bring a lot of fun to what could have been a dull and boring movie. The rivalry between Daddy Day Care and the one run by Anjelica Houston's character is fun, and makes it a good storyline.
A fun movie, and whilst nothing extraordinary it is one of the more tolerable Eddie Murphy movies I've seen.
