This is one of the few movies that I grew up with that I love just as much today as I did back when I watched it as a child. Jack Skellington is the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town but he's starting to wonder if there is more, and why does he feel so empty. One day when out on a walk he finds doorways to other places and he ends up in the North Pole. He falls in love with Christmas and decides to take over it.

While I grew up watching this, I don't think that my five year old (or younger children) would enjoy this movie yet as some of the creatures that inhabit Halloween Town are a bit scary, but when they're a little older they can join me for my yearly viewing of this sometime during the week before Christmas.

Jack's Lament is my favourite song in this movie and in fact I enjoy it a lot more than most Disney movies songs. This movie has some fun songs but Jack's Lament and What's This are the best two of the movie. I highly recommend this movie.

Directed by David Koepp

Product image for MortdecaiCharismatic British aristocrat and part-time shady art dealer Charlie Mortdecai (Johnny Depp) suffers from a constant lack of funds to support his lush lifestyle, so when Alistair Maitland (Ewan McGregor), a college friend and officer in MI5, asks him to find a stolen Goya painting, he accepts. But Charlie's not the only one with designs on the painting; an American heiress and a revolutionary want it too, for the artwork is rumored to contain the code to a bank account filled with Nazi gold.
