Following years of growing apart, Harold Lee (Cho) and Kumar Patel (Penn) have replaced each other with new friends and are preparing for their respective Yuletide celebrations.
But when a mysterious package mistakenly arrives at Kumar's door on Christmas Eve, his attempt to redirect it to Harold's house ends with the 'high grade' contents and Harold's father-in-laws prize Christmas tree going up in smoke.
With his in-laws out of the house for the day, Harold decides to cover his tracks, rather than come clean. Reluctantly embarking on another ill-advised journey with Kumar through New York City, their search for the perfect replacement tree takes them through party heaven and almsot blows Christmas Eve sky high.

The laughs may not be as forth-coming or as strong as they were the first time, but that is life as a stoner comedy and Harold and Kumar are back to offer you some occasional giggles this Christmas. Harold and Kumar have parted ways and formed new friendships over the years, but when a parcel is accidentally delivered to one, intended for the other, than of course it must be returned. The film contains the mother-of-all blunts, which would you believe, burns down the Christmas trees of all Christmas trees lol that Harold's father-in-law personally grew from a sapling.
This film will stuff your stocking with profanities, perverse and politically incorrect delight. Of course it is offensive and crude, but it also has it's funny moments. Cho and Penn continue to be a fairly likeable pair who do work well off each other. It is fun to spend time with them, following their at times hilarious journeys, even in the movies off moments, but it is nothing to really write home about, and it will not win an Oscar lol Although the humor is patchy at times, when the laughs hit, they hit hard, and loud.
For those who have seen other Harold and Kumar films, like me, they may think ''I was glad to see them again, but it's probably time for them to go get their lives fully together now lol'' Yet for those who have yet to see a Harold and Kumar film, they might just find this really enjoyable and wish to watch more of these guys. All in all if you are after a bit of humor, these movies always have and always do offer just that I however recommend hiring this one, not paying full price to buy it.
