At Shoe Clinic there are over 100 different models from the world's finest sport shoe brands. Each model has particular technical features designed for differing physiological needs. There is a pair that's just right for you and your running or walking style.
By running across the sensor pad of the Footscan Computer (an Adidas designed system), a digital print is produced of your foot as it lands. This indicates the anatomy of your foot, the pressure points and your biomechanical running style.
Shoe Clinic specialists will give an expert assessment and prescribe the ideal shoe for your personal characteristics. With their help the perfect shoe will pick you.
This means your sports shoes work with your feet and running style and not against them.
This is also the reason that we don't make our range of shoes available for online purchase.
By coming into our stores and going through our unique shoe fitting process, you are guaranteed to have the best possible pair of shoes for your individual feet and requirements.

I have really bad knee and lower back pain and normally can't walk more than 30 minutes before being in pain for a week. But After visiting the shoe clinic and having a good chat about my requirements, and my body pains we did the walking scan test and there very friendly staff showed me 3 pairs for shoes and after trying them all and walking on the scanner again we decided on a pair that were perfect for my needs. I must say I love these shoes they are not my normal look nice and comfort second ....they are the most comfortable walking shoes I have ever worn I no longer get knee pain from going for a walk I can walk a lot longer with out pain I am getting fitter and healthier and I definitely credit a lot if this to having the right shoes you can't walk if you are in pain.
I would not hesitate to recommended the shoe clinic to any of my friends and family I visited the shoe clinic On High street Lower Hutt. Thank you to the staff at Lower Hutt for their fantastic customer service I will definitely be coming back when I need another pair of shoes
My feet are really prone to blisters and painful toes etc when wearing shoes. I also have wide size 11 feet (womans) which can make it harder to get the right shoes.
About 5 years ago, I decided that I would get some really good sport shoes. I went into Shoe Clinic and they did a foot scan analysis and foot measurement. They also watched me walk on the treadmill and they had a cool video camera to pick up my foot movements. It all seemed pretty high tech just to get a pair of shoes, but it was also so thorough. Andrew, the staff member who dealt with me worked out the best shoes for me and I tried them on. They were spot on as they fitted perfectly and felt great. I decided to buy the shoes and had the added bonus of knowing that if they prescribe a particular pair of shoes and they don't work for you, they have a 30 day money back guarantee.
I was so happy with my shoes, I suggested that my dad go and get fitted for some too. He has arthritis and is in a lot of pain. He also has big feet and it can be difficult to find the right shoes for him too. Dad took my advice and went to Shoe Clinic. Within a week of getting his new shoes, he told me that the shoes had changed his life. He was walking with a spring in his step! The shoes had helped align his body better than his previous shoes and had taken some of the pressure of his sore joints. This was all because he had the right show for his body.
Since my initial visit, I have also introduced my husband and Mum as well as my dad to Shoe Clinic. All of us have been so happy with the service and shoe recommendations we have been given, that we each return when we need shoes.
Just the other day, my husband and I went in to discuss his running shoes with them, as he had recently developed a very painful toe. The staff member discussed a few possible reasons as to why that might have occurred and she then asked another staff member to take a look at the shoes to see if he had any further input. It was great to see that staff are willing to draw on each other's knowledge in order to give the best information to the customer. We did end up buying a new pair of shoes for my husband as it was noted that one possibility for the issue he was having was that the shoes were getting a bit on the old side. Even though it did end up in a sale, at no stage were we pressured into buying new shoes as the only option.
Shoe Clinic have a reward system, where you get points for every dollar spent. When you get to 500 points, you get $50 off your next shoes. If your family are repeat customers like ours, that equates to a 10% back for each pair (or a bonus of $50 when you are ready for that next pair).
I would consider Shoe Clinic the best place to get the most appropriate sports/casual footwear for each individual. They don't have a "one size fits all" method of selling shoes and really do go the extra mile. The staff are always knowledgeable and ready to help in the best what they can. I really do trust their recommendations. I should mention that since using shoes recommended by Shoe Clinic, I have not experienced any pain, discomfort or blisters.
