This product intrigued me, and I found it to be on special at the supermarket, so it ended up being cheaper than my usual laundry powder, so I decided even though I still had laundry powder at home, I would purchase this product and test it out.
When I opened the box I could immediately tell that this was a high quality product. Often when the container has that recycled cardboard look, the packaging ends up being flimsier, and often to compete with other products prices you may find that it is a lower quality product. But that is not the case at all. When you open most packaging, you are immediately covered in powder that has moved between the cardboard layers, but this powder is enclosed in a plastic bag inside the box. This is great as it means there is no random spillage, and I don't lose any of the product.
Unfortunately, I was a little put off by the measuring system. I'm used to measuring powder by scoops and half scoops, so having a product that is measured purely in tablespoons was rather odd to try convert (I really didn't want to use a kitchen spoon for my laundry powder. So I ended up just guessing and using half a scoop.
With regards to quality, I generally use the 'eco' option on my washing machine, so I continued to do so with this product, and I found it was a rather good product. While it didn't get 100% of the stains out, it did manage to clear a good 97% of the stains on an 'eco' wash. I am more than convinced that a regular or heavy wash would have cleared out the stains from my work clothes.
I will admit that the clothing did have an odd smell to them when I removed them from the washing machine, which reminded me a little of the damp smell of swimming pools, but after the clothes dried, the smell was gone. I don't know whether it is called 'Orange & Eucalyptus' because it has extracts from those plants, or whether it was meant to have that aroma, but with the quantity of powder that I used, no strong scents were really noticeable.
It cleaned as well as my other 'Cold Power' and 'Fab' powders, so I see no reason why I wouldn't use this product in the future.
