Part of our exciting relaunch of the Point Horror series!

Hayley is going to have the best year ever. After years of careful planning, she's ready to serve as student council president and editor-in-chief of the newspaper. Ivy League, here she comes!

However, just before student council elections, someone creates a fake Facebook profile for Hayley and starts posting inappropriate photos and incriminating updates. It must be the work of a highly skilled Photoshopper, but the attention to detail is scary. The embarrassing photos of "Hayley" in her bathing suit reveal a birthmark on her back - a birthmark Hayley has never shown in public...

The situation escalates until Hayley's mother reveals some shocking information. Hayley isn't an only child: She has a twin sister who was adopted by a different family. And that's not all. Soon, Hayley discovers that her long-lost sister isn't just playing a prank - she's plotting to take over Hayley's life... by any means necessary.

Identity Theft takes place in New Hampshire, in 2012 starring Hayley Westin. Hayley has no friends, or no social life at all. All she cares about is education, and getting a scholarship that will make her dream of going to her favourite college, come true. Due to her being so driven she has few friends and keeps to herself.

One day things take a nasty turn when she finds out that a Facebook account has just been created, supposedly of her yet doing the things she would never do, and things that would definitely put her scholar on jeopardy. Hayley has to find out just what the heck is going on before her dreams get washed down the drain.

I remember reading the Point Horror books when I was a pre-teen, and rather enjoying them for both the horror aspect and the quick read aspect of the books. It didn't take me long at all to read this, but that wasn't a bad thing. I may read it again in a year or so and I'm pretty sure I can get my husband to read it (since he does enjoy his horror movies).

The phrase "I'm Fine" was used a little too much, but other than that, not too shabby a reboot of the Point Horror series.

I remember the Point Horror series from my own youth I loved the books by R.L Stinelike "The Girlfriend" and the "Babysitter" and collected them when I was about 10-12. So I was quite excited about this book when I found out it was part of a relanch of the Point Horror Series. I though it would be good for my own 11 year old who is really starting to get into the horror genre both in books and in movies.

We have already read one of the books in the relaunch which was Defriended and highly enjoyed that one so had a little fight over who was going to read this one first! I won of course as I had to write the review on a deadline lol. I really enjoyed the book and read it in one night. It is a real spooky story quite like Defriended and just like the former it has many twists and surprises that keep you wanting to turn the page.

I couldn't imagine not being able to access my facebook, twitter or email accounts that would be a horror story in itself but Hayley has it even worse some one is posting photos of you doing things she has never done. Hayley finds out she had an identical twin but her mum said she was dead, so is this the twin pulling evil pranks or is it something even more sinister?!?! Read the book and find out it is totally worth it a great spooky night time read.

The evil twin Jamie is an interesting character and the end has me guessing at whether there may be a sequel because I am just not convinced that she is truly dead, but we shall see!
