When my daughter was put onto a gluten free diet last year I felt terribly sorry for her. Prior to this moment all gluten free products I had tried were dry, dense, and very expensive. Plus most I felt, seemed to taste like cardboard. So it became my mission to find good quality and nice tasting products that she would enjoy. Macro gluten free cupcakes is one of my favourites.
Most gluten free foods are so expensive, so it was a relief to find this one at an affordable price. There are zillions of standard gluten filled baking mixes available on the market, most of which are more expensive than this. So it was a nice surprise that this was cheaper than normal ones. I admit I was a bit wary when I first bought it, and I also admit I expected the end result to be tasteless and heavy.
Boy was I so very wrong. Macro gluten free cupcakes are packed full of flavour. They are super easy to make, with simple and easy to follow instructions. They smell yummy while baking, and were not even heavy or dry when finished. They also freeze well, which meant I was able to package them up and freeze them with her nane on them, adding ond to her lunch box each day frozen. She loves them and I too am over the moon. Definitely a highly recommended product.
I have to say I LOVE this product its so easy to use and taste pretty good being gluten free. When I feel lazy I buy these packets as I always have the extra ingredients I need to make this up at home already. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. I love how the frosting is in the box along with the cupcake mix so just need to make that up once the cupcakes are cold and ready to be frosted.
I had made a batch of these and put them on the table without telling people they were Gluten Free even kept my daughter away from them for a while, I let people go and eat them before sending my daughter to the table to get a cupcake and watched people with their mouths open worried that she was going to get sick until I told them they were Gluten free.
Before telling I was getting comments from my friends
" these are really nice"
"wow I love these"
"nice and fluffy"
SO many nice comments on them and I have to agree, the best thing about this is you don't have to just keep them plain they are easy to fill with filling once done, they can have berries added to them before cooking (just need to cook a little longer), they are great to ice.
