When buying pizza for dinner Domino's Pizza is most often where we will go, mostly based on price and also due to the convenience of it's location to our house. When buying pizza I will almost always order a chicken pizza over any other flavour. A few years back Domino's released a new range of pizza's to there menu known as the 'Chefs Best' which were made to be a little more fancy and a little more gourmet than the rest of there range. The Chicken and Cranberry Chef's Best was the first flavour that I tried in the range, and it is also the only one I have purchased from Domino's ever since.

The first difference you will notice when ordering this delicious pizza (and any others from the Chef's Best range) is that the pizza is square in shape rather than round and that it comes in a fancy black, square shaped box with 6 slices of pizza rather than the usual 8 slices that you will usually find in a round pizza.

The combination of chicken, cranberry and Camembert has always been a much loved favourite flavour combination of mine and so when this pizza came on the menu I knew I was sure to love it. The pizza base is light and fluffy with a beautiful crisp crust, and is smothered in a very yummy and sweet cranberry sauce, which is then topped with seasoned chicken, red onion (though I ask for this to be removed), spinach and cheese. The toppings used to be very generous though recently they seem to be getting less and less, which means it may sadly soon be time to try a new flavour.

The price of $10.99 is a little steep in my opinion but there are usually coupons available which bring the pizza down to $8 which I can justify. Will happily keep buying if the toppings don't vanish even more! However if wanting a REALLY gourmet pizza I'd recommend going to Hell's Pizza instead.

This is our family's favourite pizza in dominoes since it came out - so it has been a staple in our order for the past six months. We like the balance of the sweetness of the cranberry sauce and the savoury taste that the chicken brings. We also like that it's square shaped rather than the usual round shaped pizza because it's easy to divide amongst us family of four. The crust is evenly cooked and has the right balance of crisp and softness to it.

The box for its packaging is good too, using the special chefs best black box just right for its size -- giving the impression that it's special -- different from the value pizzas.

However, we've noticed that lately, the toppings become less and less compared to when it first came out several months ago. We are quite observant - and pedantic! - that we count the number of chicken pieces each slice has and at first it had 2-3, now it's down to one per slice if you're lucky. Sometimes they have a chicken piece right in the middle of two slices so you only get half a piece! The sauce also became thinner in the latter months when we've ordered it. It doesn't cover to the edges any more. So it's not as filling any more as it used to be when it first came out. Less value for money now but still Ok especially when you get it with a voucher (or when they still had cheaper Tuesdays) for $8. Even the crust wasn't spared, it's thinner now and smaller compared to when we ordered it months ago.

When we order this now, we always get another pizza because the kids are still hungry and so are we. It would be good if Dominoes stuck to its original recipe - or size - for consistency but I think because they're cutting costs, that's why these almost unnoticeable changes were made. We only noticed it because of the frequency of our orders (once a week) and as I said, how pedantic we are on the toppings.

Being part English, I have always enjoyed the traditional flavours. A roast. Cheese on toast. Simple things. One day I was in a BP and noticed a Chicken Brie and Cranberry sandwich. At first, I thought that it seemed a horrid idea, but one day I gave it a try; it blew my mind.

I loved it so much that I even started making my own chicken, cheese, and cranberry sandwiches at home. Then one night I was ordering some pizza and I saw the Chicken and Cranberry pizza. I was skeptical of a hot chicken camembert and cranberry pizza, but I decided not to judge it before I tried it, and again I was surprised by how enjoyable that it was. It wasn't as amazing as my cold sandwiches, but it was still enjoyable. In my opinion, it even improved in flavour as it cooled.

An expensive, pizza however, and not really something I'd want to order often, unless it was on special. Especially when a classic pizza is almost half the price, and slightly larger in size. I nice pizza for when you have a few guests, not so good at a party, as it will all go before you get a chance.

I decided to try this last time we had dominos on a lazy no cooking night. It was on special for $8 rather than the $10.99 it regularly is so was in fact cheaper than some of the other traditional options. I love chicken and cranberry with camembert I thought this was going to have camembert on it also but it didn't so that was a bit disappointing but I clearly didn't read the menu properly when ordering.

It was lucky that only me and my partner were eating this pizza as there was only 6 quite small slices and my partner can eat a whole pizza to himself normally. So I would say the portion sizes are quite small compared to their other pizzas. You do get a good amount of topping on your pizza though the one we had, had plenty of chicken on it so that was good and there was plenty of sauce but not too much as is sometimes the case.

I didn't think it was the nicest pizza I have ever had, I much prefer the Hells Pizza Chicken and Cranberry pizza as it has the camembert too. Give it a try though it is certainly a bit more special than a plain ham and cheese pizza!
