I decided to try this sample first as I usually drink just plain instant coffee with milk so this would be the best test of my tastebuds. I used the whole sachet with hot water and some skim milk and it made a very dark looking coffee. The sachets didn't actually give any instructions on how to use them for example whether you used the whole sachet so I had to assume that each sachet equalled one drink.
There was quite a lot of coffee powder in the sachet so it was a lot more than how much powder I would use if spooning it out myself. The result was a very dark and very strong coffee. It was much too strong for my liking and I couldn't finish the whole cup. Afterwards I had a very strong coffee after taste at the back of my throat which I had to have a drink of juice to get rid of the taste.
If I was going to make this again I would perhaps only use half the sachet as although I am a huge coffee drinker I don't like them to be too strong. This had an overall nice bold flavour and would suit people who like dark espresso style drinks. It gave me my caffeine hit and kept me going until my next coffee so had the desired effect and I definitely couldn't taste any of the Ganoderma extract so that was a bonus.
