Fanta - Pineapple product reviews

I must admit that I am quite the fan of a nice, cool carbonated drink particularly on a hot day (although enjoying such a drink isn't limited to only hot days!). Being a non coffee or tea drinker, I get bored with having water all of the time so enjoy a glass or can of a carbonated beverage here and there to have a break from plain old water. When I was making an order through the International Foods website for some products that I had reviewed previously I decided to have a little browse at what else I could find. It isn't often that I buy full sugar carbonated drinks but the different flavoured Fanta varieties stood out to me and with the price of only $1.80 per can I decided to give them a go.

The pineapple was the last I tried of the three flavours I had ordered. I had left this until last because pineapple is one of my favourite flavours and I'm sure I'm not the only one to leave my favourite to last! After a hard zumba class I arrived home and swore that the pineapple Fanta was calling me! Luckily for me it was chilled just nicely and I was soon sitting on the couch with the drink in my hand. As I opened the can I could immediately smell the pineapple. It smelt just devine. I couldn't wait to have a sip of the carbonated goodness that hid inside! As I took my first sip, the amazing-ness continued. It was sweet, but not too sweet. It had that ever so slight fake pineapple taste but it wasn't bad. I enjoyed it so much that I kept going back for a sip and suddenly the can was empty! My one suggestion to make this product better would be to have it in a much bigger can!

Some people don't enjoy the 'fake' flavouring you often get in products like this. I couldn't quite decide if it was true to a typical pineapple or not. The can states that it is made with 100% natural flavours, and at the bottom adds that it is pineapple flavoured with other natural flavours. So this is possibly why I couldn't quite put my finger on whether it was a natural pineapple taste or not, as there are other flavours at play within this drink.

It is certainly a drink that I would buy again, although it won't become a regular thing because of the sugar content. I truely believe everything in moderation though so it certainly won't be the last Fanta pineapple I have in my life!
