An extremely sharp sour burst that was overwhelming to the palate that was only mallowed by the occasional reminder of the sweetness. Very smooth clean texture. The aroma is fruity and pleasant.
This wine would be for the connoisseur of only the finest medium or dry wines, which I am not a fan of. The price is an individual thing but in my opinion this would only warrant $13.00 maximum
Although somewhat lacking in bubbles, Celestial Wines' Sparkling Kiwifruit was a relatively smooth wine in both texture and taste, with a pleasant flavour that only hinted at kiwifruit (a definite plus for those like me who aren't big kiwifruit fans) during the initial sip, but left a far stronger kick in the slightly bitter after-taste.
For me, it's not a wine I'd want to sit back and relax with on it's own, but some may find it quite refreshing with certain meals. I'm still a beginner with learning what wines go with what foods, but I reckon this would go reasonably nicely with a fish meal.
I have never tried a fruit wine before so the tasting evening was a first for me.
The smell was quite acidy, the texture was smooth, and was not particularly bubbly.
The taste was rather nice and sweet, however the aftertaste seemed like slightly off fruit.
This batch of wine has a nice sweet smell and taste. It was very pleasant to drink, however wasn't very sparkly at all, it seemed rather flat.
It was slightly acidic but had a pleasant after taste. The Kiwifruit flavour was very prominent but not overpowering. It is a nice way to try something different if you are not a big kiwifruit lover.
