Product reviews...
I've seen this H2Coco product at the supermarket for some time and was intrigued. They were on special last weekend so I thought I would get a selection of them to try. I took them to work as I thought, they would help with re-hydrating in the air-conditioned office.
These drinks come in a cardboard tetra pack. The Pure has an appealing green motif on the box which makes you think of the colour of the coconut when it comes off the tree but hasn't been husked yet. I found the seal on the box a little difficult to open and I managed to splash the coconut water all over my desk. It does just look like water too. Lucky I missed my laptop! Once I cleaned my desk up, I put the straw in the box and started to drink.
The taste was nice and natural and definitely reminded me of coconut milk right from the coconut but without the creamy taste. Without that milky part the coconut actually tastes like it is honeyed as well. Every sip of the drink, I could taste that honey taste. But there is no honey in this. I guess it was just a nectar of the fruit thing. These are nicest when they are chilled. The pure was probably my second favourite of the set.
