I absolutely love these disposable piping bags which literally saved my life 2 years ago when I had got up to decorate my daughters 1st birthday cake for her party at 4am one morning when my icing bag got a hole in it and was no longer usable, being only 4am int he morning obviously meant no shops were open so my only bet was to make a mad rush to the supermarket at 7am when they opened and hope that they sold some sort of piping bag, if not I was in a bit of a pickle as the party started at 9.30 so there was no way of making it to any other shop to get the much needed icing pump, and my butterfly cake wasn't going to look like much of a butterfly if I had no pump to decorate it with! Luckily the Multix 5 pack of piping bags came to the rescue.

Having 5 piping bags in the pack actually ended up making my job a whole lot easier as it meant that I could put a different coloured icing in each of the bags, so no need to wash, dry, swap and change different coloured icings into the same bag, and being disposable meant no need to clean up the sticky icing bags when I was done. Best of all they worked just fine with the icing nozzles that I had at home to use for the cake so it all turned out well in the end.

As well as the 5 icing bags that came in the pack, there were also 3 decorating nozzles of the most basic and often used designs and I had no problems with how these worked, best of all they can be washed out and kept for another time, so not all is having to be disposed of. Since this day I always keep a pack of these in my cake decorating drawer in case of emergencies, for the price you pay they do a great job.

I bought this once when I had cupcakes to decorate for a birthday party I didn't have a proper piping set at the time and when I saw this at the supermarket and seen how cheap it was I thought that it would be great for what I needed. The set comes with 4 nozzles and 5 bags so you get more than one use out of it which makes it really good value for money, plus you can keep the nozzles to use with refill packs.

The four nozzles are your basic starter shapes which allow you to do a couple of different styles. My one of choice would be the star shaped nozzle for making cupcakes as you can get a good swirly star on the top of your cupcake. There is one with just a square shape opening which is good for drawing lines on top of cakes or trying to do a smiley face!

The bags themselves are easy to use, you pop the nozzle through the opening of the bag and then fill with your frosting, then you are ready to go by giving the bag a gentle squeeze to get the frosting flowing. As with all frosting kits you need to get a pretty firm frosting consistency so it doesn't just run out of the end of the nozzle before you are ready but with a bit of practice you can perfect the consistency you need!

I first purchased these when I started to get into baking cupcakes etc, I'd always wanted a proper piping bag but never known if I'd actually use it or if it would be anything like my expectations. When I saw these in my local supermarket for such a cheap price I seriously couldn't believe it and brought a box straight away! I certainly wasnt disappointed and this product has now helped me decorate many cupcakes and cakes.

Designed to be disposable I love the fact I can just chuck out the bag when I've finished decorating! I've since been given a proper piping bag and set of nozzles as a present which I do use but when I'm feeling lazy or in a hurry I love that I can use this product and then throw away whatever is left. In saying that, when I first used to use the bags I used to carefully wash the bags after each use so I could re-use them a couple of times, they always washed out in warm soapy water fine and kept in the cupboard no worries at all.

I find the nozzles included to be suited to what I need/use this product for and if I require any others then I just use my other piping bag set. I've only used this for icing cupcakes or cakes so far, but am sure it would be fine for cream, mashed potato, egg or whatever else you so desire. Totally recommend this product to any baker out there! Smile Icon

I purchased this product when I was first getting into home-baking and cupcakes. I thought at the price that it was a good starter and I noticed that you could buy a refill box of the bags so I was keen to give this a go.

This comes with 4 nozzles and it relatively easy to put together. The nozzles are a bit limited, but gives you a few different styles to try. There is one that you can kinda do writing with. It will make a icing line and with a steady hand you can write names or outline a smile. There is a nozzle which can make a thicker line as well. I can never figure out how to use that one. Lastly there are a couple of star shaped nozzles. These are usually my go-to nozzle style. I just find that make a nice frilly look when I make my icing swirls.

I have used this mostly to decorate cupcakes, but you could use it to make fancy mashed potatoes. You could fill this with sour cream and use it to add dollops of sour cream to your nachos. You could even use it to fill pasta tubes with your cream cheese, cottage cheese and spinach to make a yummy pasta bake. The only negative thing I found when using this piping bag was that if my icing mixture was too thick, I would split the bag. This made using the product a little messy.

These are great!! I looked for months to find a good piping bag that wouldn't cost the earth!!..and I couldn't believe that I can easily buy them form my local supermarket, and what's even better is I can pick them up for next to no money.

They are designed to be disposable but on the occasions that I can be bothered I will clean the bags after use and store them to use on another occasions which I love because I am saving money.

I do wish that there were different choices of nozzles available in the boxes, I do like using the star nozzle and there are 2 sizes already but I do long for a star nozzle that is bigger that offers a fatter star shape when piping on cupcakes....and a larger and smaller plain round nozzle, I almost want a box that would have different nozzles so I could collect them all....maybe a collect and swap option with friends maybe?? haha!!

With 5 bags in the box I think they are very good value and I can fill up all 5 bags with different coloured icing and decorate a cake all at the same time with the different colours, I don;t need to empty the bag and fill up with a different colour, that saves time and hassle in my opinion.

I have come across the occasional bag that may have a small pin prick size hole in it that when I squeeze the back icing may squirt out but usually it doesn't mess up the piping work I am doing at the time and I will finish that bag and throw it away and load up another bag with more icing....it's a little annoying but hey they are disposable so it goes with the gamble of buying these bags but in saying that I think it has only happened to 2 bags out of maybe 100 that I have used.

I have used these bags to pipe icing onto cakes, icing onto cupcakes, used them to fill brandy snaps and make swirls on devilled eggs...so the uses are only limited to you imagination.

I have wowed friends with my piping skills and they are very surprised when I have shown them these bags that I have bought from the supermarket to do all this wonderful piping. Since I have told them about these bags and they have seen the magic that can be done they have bought them as well and enjoy using them...having the option to throw them away is definitely a draw card for me, the clean up at the end of a long baking session is simple....straight in the trash and buy more...easy!
