What can I say, these guys serve the best steak I have ever tasted in my life. It is the most tender and succulent of any I have ever eaten.
The secret to this they say is in the fact it is slow cooked for 18 hours and then quickly seared before being brought to your table with a choice of the most delightfully tasting vegetables or salads. Due to the way they cook this steak the rarest you can get is medium-rare (Sorry to all of those who like it still mooving) which was fine by me as this is just the way I like it.
The atmosphere of the place was just marvelous with all the memorabilia from days gone by liberally scattered around the place, and the staff were just the most friendly and helpful people ever.
Whilst at first glance there doesn't appear to be much in the way of carparking nearby a second look shows a nicely placed supermarket with plenty of parking available.
Whilst the price of the steak meal was up in the mid to high twenties I would easily pay that much again just to have the opportunity to have another one of those steaks.
So if you have the chance to go to a Hog's Breath Cafe at any stage take the chance you won't regret it.

Something a little different...
We have blended our manuka smoked salt with red & green peppercorns and added a good dash of Lemon Kelp. So you get a Lemon Pepper with the addition of Iodine from the kelp and a bit of the smoked salt flavour as well. Use as you would a Lemon Pepper - Customers tell us it's great on aubergine when barbecued.
Important! Grinder is coarse and fine. Pull out firmly for coarse grind and push in for fine.
