having always enjoyed spicy foods, i jumped at the chance to try this product, so when it came through the door i immediately grabbed a teaspoon and had some, it had a wonderful spice kick that was easily bearable due to the mango flavour mixed in.
the following night i mixed it with my dinner of shepherds pie, and found that the same lovely flavours came through and it also didnt over-power the flavour of the pie, when i had finished i had a nice tingling sensation that lasted a while and not once did i need to reach for a drink.
with such a nice kick to it i won't need to use much per meal so the size isnt an issue and its actually bigger than another brand i have in my fridge.
i will definately use this product many a time to come, and look forward to trying it's compatriots.

Once again not really one that I think is for me, but I do have to admit that somehow this one didn't seem quite as hot as the standard Hot Sauce. Now i'm not sure if it was the slightly orange colour of the sauce giving me a bit of a mind over matter moment, but I suspect that the addition of the mango into the mix has managed to somehow (well to me at least) mute the heat of the sauce slightly.

This is one that i'd possibly be more willing to use more if I found a good way to dilute the heat in it slightly, okay maybe a bit more that slightly.... So I will continue to find a nice addition that I can add to this to make it slightly more palatable for me.

Even though again the bottles are quite small in comparison to other sauces widely available I think it helps that you definitely dont think you need to use quite as much as you normally would.
Again the labels are not hugely appealing, if not somewhat faded looking, which makes you wonder if the contents will be a bit boring like the label tends to look, but this is not the case at all.
This sauce has quite a kick to it though, and for me was a bit to hot. However the lads in this household gave this sauce two thumbs up and said it was absolutely divine.
I think it would make a wonderful marinade come BBQ season and will be well worth having in the cupboard especially for the chops and steaks.
Not one for those who dont like a good hot sauce though.

I almost liken this to a type of fruity alcohol, almost like a mango liqueur (is there even such a drink?). Fruity with a nice warming sensation as it goes down. So it's not really a fire type feeling, but still warming to the body.

This isn't really something I would use regularly, but as an occasional condiment I can see it would have it's uses.

So not my favourite seasoning but still something I would find a use for.

I was delighted to give this a try... as-is on a cracker with some cheese, it proved a little too strong for my tastebuds, despite tasting delightfully light and fruity.

However, when I mixed it with a hefty dollop of mayonnaise, it became something amazing - a sandwich spread that did double-duty as both a dip and a salad dressing.

I don't claim to be any form of gourmand or expert taste-tester, but I know what I do, and don't, like. This... I liked! Not 'straight up' - it was too powerful - but when mixed it because something far more than the sum of it's parts.

Overall, if you like 'kick' and want the best bang for your buck, this is the stuff you need... because you can have the full power, or 'dilute' it down to make it last longer at a lower 'spice factor'. Now, if I could just pick it up at Pakkies, I would be really happy. Wink Icon

Taste of Mango and Fire. Ummmmmmmmmmm yep.
Not the great big inferno I was expecting, but more of the Blazing fire on a cold winter day that makes you feel all warm inside.
And it does, first taste is a nice fruity explosion with a ginger after taste, then BAM! Heat! and you feel it at the back of your throat and all the way down.
This sauce is a wonderful addition to the cupboard and goes well with almost everything, but is especially good on chicken (Any chicken).
Recommend for people who like a bit of heat to their sauce as a different taste to the hot sauce range.

It is a shame the product description doesn't say more about the product. Yet somehow mango and fire describes the product well, and yet it says nothing about the fruity sweetness blended with a slosh of chilli to a product that will appeal to many cooks, chefs and chilli addicts.

I have to admit I was sceptical about this product. I prefer my chilli sauce like molten lava you know, just Chilli blended with a smidgen of napalm for instant tongue nuking action. However, on first taste of this product I freely admit I was hooked; in fact out of all the range, I would be hard pressed to pick an absolute favourite, I love them all for different meals, but the hot mango sauce is fantastic. In fact, I have included it on muffins & crumpets, and onto a naan bread with a curry. The former suggestions are regular snacks, but the latter made a curry absolutely divine.

In fact, if you ask nicely, you could ask the distributors to give you the recipe for 'Festivals', a Jamaican corn bread which is absolutely fantastic with this (and other Pickapeppa) sauces.

To sum up, this is a worthy addition to any kitchen store cupboard. With a bit of nagging the supermarkets may start stocking it more widely.
