Once upon a time... Elmo and his friends had all kinds of silly adventures on Sesame Street!
Hearing the story of Rapunzel makes Zoe wish for longer hair, but when her Hairy Godperson grants her wish, it puts Zoe in a hairy predicament! Then a wizard casts a spell on a grouchy princess to make her sleep for 100 years. Can Prince Elmo wake Sleeping Grouchy! Jack is trying to grow a beanstalk - can the Sesame friends help? Finally, dance along with the Big Bad Wolf and Little Red Riding Hood as they sing about the parts of a face.
It's fairytale fun for everyone! Featuring four classic "Muppet Newsflash" segments and "A Wish for Grover" Animated storybook!
58 Minutes approx running time.

As with most DVDs of this nature Little Miss Three and Miss Five are more of the target audience than me! This DVD was very entertaining with the Sesame Street cast performing the stories of Rapunzel, Sleeping Beauty, Jack and the Beanstalk and Little Red Riding Hood with their own Sesame Street twist. Jack and the Beanstalk with the Giant was actually a bit scary and Miss Three will no longer watch the DVD as a result! Miss Five thought it was scary but will still watch it if I am there.
They loved the other stories and were totally engrossed. I found the news flashes with Kermit a bit confusing. I am old school but isn't he from the Muppets!! I don't get why he is in a Sesame Street DVD!!! The kids didn't have that confusion so thought he was cute which of course he is. The "News Flashes" definitely took me back to watching the Muppets on a Sunday morning!
At 58 minutes this DVD was just great for these rainy days we have been having and I do like DVDs that are segmented so they have natural break points if you are rationing TV time.
I am not a huge fan of Sesame Street but for what it is this is a good entertaining DVD and a different twist on the traditional fairy tales. If your children like Sesame Street then they will most likely love this.

"I like to pick up hitchhikers. When they get in the car I say, "Put on your seat belt. I want to try something. I saw it once in a cartoon, but I think I can do it."
