I have a 7 year old child who is currently into Places of the World, and when I got him this book his eyes lit up like a spotlight. He has already been asking me things about places overseas, and with the help of Google and Wikipedia I have been able to answer most of his questions, but I have always found it best to be able to find the answers out yourself by looking in a book and also by seeing the places through the pictures that generally always accompany a book like that. Well this book lived up to my expectations and then some.

Since receiving this book he has since been wandering around quoting me facts and figures from the book. A book like this is a great learning and reference tool for children of all ages, and I highly recommend it, in fact I will be looking out for other books in the 'Cultures of the World' series.
