Tasty Penne pasta, seasoned chicken, smoked bacon, mushroom and onion in Alfredo sauce, served in a delicious puff-pastry bowl.

This is brilliant. No more dishes and you can eat the plate. If you are really careful, or scary, you dont even really need cutlery, just grab the bowl and start chomping.
I was really impressed with the creamy sauce and the mushrooms were cooked pretty well too, not too chewy but not falling apart either.
My only worry was that there wasnt really much chicken in this one, making me wonder if its really as good value for money as it sounds.
All in all though this was a really interesting dish to try out and I plan to give it another go and see if there is more meat in the usual portion.
I have always enjoyed chicken pastas, and carbonara is one of my faves. Some chunks of chicken, bits of smokey bacon and onion in a creamy cheese sauce... yumm! The mushrooms were also surprisingly tasty... and I am not a fan of 'shrooms.
The penne pasta was cooked to 'al dente' perfection, and the sauce was thick and creamy and full of flavour. The pastry was cooked to perfection and delightful to chomp on. Not too chewy, not at all limp. This made 'doing the dishes' a breeze... once the bulk of the pasta is in your belly, the rest gets rolled up in 'the bowl' and chomped on downm. A cardboard box to go into the recycling and you're all done!
Overall, another fine example of Domino's delightful new menu. A little pricey, and more of a treat than a regular dinner, but if you are after something a little different, then this is an excellent option to consider.
