With the upcoming release of 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' to cinemas Hasbro has once again come out with a unique wee toy. Now you too (or your child if you feel you have to let them play with it ) can feel like Wolverine and have steel claws extening from your hands at a flick of the wrist... Okay they're actually plastic telescoped tubes painted gray and thus quite harmless, but the sound effects are quite good. Based essentially on the same design as the flick out Star Wars Lightsabers which were all the rage a few years ago, these are quite safe and, if you happen to get hit by a bositerous child, will do no harm, although I advise making sure your child (or yourself) make sure that there is no-one nearby when you flick these blades out as they come out with a bit of speed and could do some damage if caught in the eye. I imposed a rule that they be used outside where the danger of pot plants, pictures, vases etc being knoced down is at a minimum. The only real gripe I have is that this is a set of 1 and that if you want to have the full effect (sorry if you want your child to have the full effect ) then you have to by a second one.
