U.B. Funkeys - Funkiki Islands characters product reviews

Welcome to the Funkiki Islands... where there are no henchmen, you can go fishing, or have fun in the sun, sea and snow.

The natives are friendly, but love to play 'spin the spear'... you win, they hand you a coconut, you lose, they steal a few coins. Find the hidden coins, grab a treeful of coconuts, catch some fish to stick on your crib wall... it's all fun in the Funkiki Islands!

This is the version 2 expansion for the latest craze game sweeping our shores... every new Funkey unlocks a new minigame, and you have to have one of the four Funkiki Island character to travel through the yellow portals to reach this beautiful paradise.

So come on, soak up some fun in the Funkiki Islands!

I adore these charactors, and the games they unlock. Flurry, the snowflurry, does some awesome halfpipe snowboard tricks, Sol the sun-lover plays minigolf, Webley the spider runs around being chased by flies until he traps them in silk cocoons, and Nibble the shark scares fish into dropping pearls then eats them!

As you complete each game to a suitably high skill level, you earn special tools that allow you to progress the game, bypassing some nasty obstacles to collect bonus orbs, which when used in the right way at the right time unlock even more of the game... it's quite a challenge on a number of levels!

Hours of fun for kids on any age, the little ones will just adore the minigames, the older ones will enjoy the quest aspect of the game, and adults... well... those not playing along will enjoy the peace and quiet of kids occupied elsewhere. Wink Icon

Overall, not too bad a deal, especially if you find them cheaper, and there is no big investment beyond the initial Funkeys starter kit which you must have to install and start the game. Heaps of fun, small price, and an ever-expanding range of ways to play!
