Wow!!! I can't believe that Tubby Turtle is still around today. I was visiting my Nana a few weeks ago and as I was rummaging through my old toy box looking for some toys suitable for Miss 2 to play with I managed to stumble across my very own Tubby Turtle from when I was about 3 years old.
Miss 2 was straight away super excited to see Tubby Turtle as she just loves turtles at the moment, mostly due to the fact that they have 2 turtles at the daycare which she attends, and she loves to watch them move about. Tubby Turtle is super cute and makes an awesome bathtoy as he really does float, Miss 2 really enjoyed pushing him across the water in her bath and making him move fast or slow. She also loved making him have races across to the other side of the bath with her other toys . He was such a hit that it was rather difficult trying to persuade Miss 2 out of the bath each night during our holiday.
The turtles head pops up and down in the water and Miss 2 loved wobbling the head around. It is a very cute turtle with a happy face, being so bright in colour would make it really appealing to children, a great toy for helping to make bath time fun!
My kids LOVE tubby turtle. They go this for Christmas in 2009 so my son was a month old and daughter 17mths.
We still have it today, they love the whole pushing turtle under the water to watch him pop up. The colours are bright and catches the child's eye. The simple way it works makes bath time lots of fun.
Fun and exciting toy that I would be happy to buy for a friend or family member as a gift for their child
What a cute little character. My two daughters loved his brightly coloured body and friendly face. He definately made bath time fun.
I did have trouble breaking down the turtle to reveal the 'stack-and-nest shapes' (still not successful) so maybe directions on pack would be good, also my little guy (tubby) prefered to sink, not float, (maybe he was just lazy!).
All in all, he is a lovely addition to our bath time, even though I can't fully bring out his potential.
