Not a salad person by choice, I had to find something on the menu that appealed to my carnivore tendancies... and in front of my eyes arose a wonderful staff person who informed me about the Tuna Salad from the new SALAD PLUS range. It sure sounded good, and I love the taste of tuna. So I gave it a shot.
I chose the Eta Lite & Free Italian dressing, and added the yummy croutons sachet to the salad too. (BTW: The croutons are delisho on their own too!) Then, grabbing my fork and my courage, I chowed down on that thar tuna salad. It was DEE-LISH! The tuna was fresh and full of flavour. The salad was crisp and fresh, and the dressing was devine. And of course those delightful croutons...
Only draw-back was the time it took them to prepare it. Usually there would be one or two in the cooler, but on this occasion there were none to grab. I watched as the staff person simply pulled the lid off a plain garden salad, added the tuna, replaced the lid and put it up for delivery to me. It sat there for ages until someone thought to ask about it. 30 seconds to prepare, over 7 minutes of staring at it until it was handed to me. Poor service, but GREAT food.
The price is a little steep, but quality costs. Overall, I think I have found a new addition to my list of Fave Foods at McD's. This one is a firm fave of mine now.
